You see, Rosa is technically not a human, she was created using the trans-mutated body of a garden variety hedgehog from her creator/father Richard Kinari. That eye is a defect of that mutation, it allows her to see one's life force and can also see in thermal. She is a very confident and has a silly nature and mainly a peaceful girl.
