Description

This is my character Simone that I created for a 60s/70s-esque post-apocalyptic story named Prosper. Here's a little information on her:

Simone Grove is an intelligent young girl who lived in the small village of Greenville. She was an orphan who stayed with her grandmother but after a while was adopted by a group of scientist who noticed her superior intellect compared to her peers. The girl learned technology and science from her new guardians, almost living in the the lab they taught her in.
Her intelligence was rumored about in every Reb city and town all across the old States. However when the Warriors found out about the lab in the city of Greenville and the young black girl who seems to be their mascot they went over to destroy the village and use or kill the scientist there, including the girl. They couldn’t just have such positive imagery going around of black kids when they have black kids to brainwash into ignorance and slavery. At first they threatened the town with a burned cross and a smudged, yet scary, note. Once they came they found every scientist they wanted and everybody else in the town, except the little girl. She hid in her grandmother’s basement, which was hidden under a carpet.
Before the town was pillaged they sent a distress signal to anybody who could help them. A city around the Old Capitol Trading Center named “Prosperity” listened to this call and sent help. They were too late but ended up finding Simone and one scientist who was shot, yet not fatally.
In Prosperity Simone is heavily defended and cared for, both for her intelligence and the fact that children are rare in their city and in the Old States. Around new people she’s quiet yet once she gets to know you she’s perky and talkative. She’s very humble, almost to the point of having a low self-esteem, and often apologizes, blames herself for things or says she isn’t that good at what she does. She’s also very sensitive and is quick to cry or get mad, especially when she’s done something wrong since she often blames herself for everything. All in all she’s a sweet girl caught into a lot of mess.
