Description
After learning SAI and seeing the greatness of it. I just had to share it with all my friends. And so I made a tutorial to show them even more of the greatness.And to also show those like me with bad hand-eye co-oridination thus bad line-art the greatness of it!
It's just THAT GREAT!
So Sai Line-Art Tutorial.
Edit: OKAY PEOPLE STOP FAVING THIS SERIOUSLY! Do you know how old this is? How badly it was written? How badly it was drawn? How bored I was for making it and how much better other tutorials out there are? I mean come on... STOP FAVING THIS!

Quick question: I've been using the line tool, but now all of a sudden, the line color doesn't match what color I've chosen for it. What I mean is that I chose black for the color but it comes out as a light gray. Same with any other color. Do you know how I can fix this?

That's probably because you tried drawing on a layer with its opacity brought down.

I did actually find out the problem. It wasn't the opacity, the density was down extremely low for some odd reason. But thanks for the help!

I have Paint Tool Sai, but I do not have the Edit tool.

...to get the pressure tool to work you need to click and drag in the opposite direction the line is going and the percent will show up...for example the line is vertical so you should click and drag horizontal and vise versa...hope that helps out if ya have yet to figure it out on your own xD

Um, I have a question...
When I select the vector layer for SAI.....I don't get any of those tools. I still have the same tools as I would have in the normal layers (pen, airbrush, brush etc.)

possibly there is something wrong with your SAI... or perhaps you're just not doing it right xD
I got confused when she said "Vector layer" because in my version it's called the "Lineart layer" lol

Nice tutorial!
But I need help in something not so related.
I got 2 files, a lineart and another image, I want to move that image to the lineart, but how?
On photoshop is pretty simple, just need to drag, but didnt figure out in SAI

If no one has answered this, hit ctrl+a to select everything, ctrl+x to cut it, then go to the other image and hit ctrl+v to paste it to a new layer
