Description
The Protected is a semi-skinny slugcat. they have a shell protecting their head and body. ducking down let's them reveal their shell and block projectiles and explosions.

however, there is a catch. the shell is not invincible. it takes five to six spears, and two to one (singularity bomb) explosions until the shell cracks and breaks, revealing a weak spot. the shell only heals after hibernating for two cycles.

this slugcat can use rocks to repair its shell, however, the rocks work (almost) like the scavenger cheiftian armor. one hit makes a rock fall off, but an explosion makes all of the rocks fall off. so it's not advised to fight scavengers with bombs using this slugcat.

with the weight of the shells, the speed and jump of the slugcat is slightly reduced and it falls down faster. it's able to survive higher falls with its shell, but falling from too high can cause it to die.
