I did this for a Gaia Contest hosted by disenchanted. The theme was to draw something based on a book. I took a quote from The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, and ran with it. The idea of the contest was to learn something new and grow as an artist, so I drew an emotional image using watercolors. This was my second time EVER using watercolors, and the first time I used them to paint a character.

The girl is based on the Painted Bunting, in case you were curious.

Materials: Sakura Microns, MaimeriBlu Watercolors, White Gel Pen, and Photoshop for adjustments.
