Yeeeeeah I know it looks awful, and I didn't even want to submit it.But.
Does any of you remember this fail ? And I said there I was too lazy to make it look like Indigo's running? I lied.
So that's it. Enjoy this fatass young Indigo and that serial-failing animation.
By the Way, I finished the lineart months ago and colored it black because this runcycle is actually gonna be used as a silhouette in my animation project, but I was bored today so I decided to color it so you'll see all the details.
Critiques are not necessary but allowed.
Indigo and animation are mine! Do not use either of them in any way!

uhh I have no idea.
it depends on so many things, from character's complexity through number of frames to my own mood and level of motivation, and since it's an animation, and not a singular static image, it'll cost a lot to order, and I doubt anyone would want to pay this much if they could spend that money on more impressive art pieces.
I don't want to answer your question with a solid no, but probably not in the near future.

That's awesome! I love the tail movement and the legs and pretty much everything but maybe the spine, it looks a tiny bit stiff. I don't know exactly what animal you based him on, but at least from what I've seen most use their spine a bit like a spring, some less, some more but usually it's at least a little involved in propelling them foreward. If it's based on an animal that doesn't do that/only does it very little just ignore the last part

finally a critique!
and no, you're right about the back. I didn't base him on anything, I drew everything from my head, and only after I finished coloring I noticed that something in his back doesn't work (weird. before I colored him he seemed pretty okay. o.O)
I'm going to use it in my animation project but he'll be a silhouette so I hope that the problematic back animation will be less noticeable.

Colouring often has that effect since it kinda makes planes out of what where lines before. I'm having some problems with that myself.

the main rule of being a good artist is that you must have the ability to criticize yourself, detect the mistakes, and know how to fix them so they won't appear in your next piece. if you only criticize yourself you'll give up quickly, and if you don't know how to find or fix your mistakes you'll never become better. my sentence sounds obvious but I know about a lot of people who can't do all the three things then cry to me that they can't improve. I tell them to criticize, find mistakes and fix them, and some try, but the others ignore me and stay in the same stage they always were.
in short, never give up, do your best to improve, observe nature and the way it works, let yourself and others point out at your mistakes, but mainly don't give up and don't get disappointed in the middle of your process of improvement!Β
