Description
Sawed out of 18g(Ever notice a pattern with my thicknesses) nickel sheet. Edges filed, whole thing was sanded to a relatively pretty shine. Then I knicked it a few times trying to get the bezel finished, and ruined the polish, so I just texture-ized the whole thing. The bezel-set stone is a hematite, and I wrecked setting that stone terribly. It's a fine stone, but I didn't cut the bezelwire down far enough so it came up too high and wouldn't 'taper' away like it's supposed to. Bezelling is mine greatest enemy. Out of all the things I've done repeatedly, it's the only thing I know of I haven't actually caught the hang of.The piece is about an inch and a half high, and about half an inch across.

Want. But with a Sapphire colored stone (fake or otherwise, doesn't really matter)

I honestly hadn't thought of that reference, and now feel thoroughly stupid.
I asked for sapphire because it's my birthstone, and I also happen to like the color. But really. I'd dearly love one of these.

Ehh, in truth, it kinda sucked. The flaws were incredibly obvious in person, and the tips of the necklace tended to stab at me while I was wearing it.
