I recently started working with WildfireIllustration on possibly revamping Seven Sins and a Baby! Since the series kinda died ^^’ and it’s been super awesome to get a chance to redesign the sins, it’s brought me so much joy.
for a long time I’ve wanted to rework them, since their original designs were rather uninspired and not well thought out. I’m in love with my babies now that they’ve had their glow ups~

please please PLEASE go follow Flame because she’s amazing, and if/when any pages go up it will probably be on her page! Plus she has fantastic art and deserves all the love~

Pride, the sin of arrogance, hubris, and ego

PERSONALITY
- A huge hypocrite, very often “rules for thee not for me”
- All bark and little bite, will brag all day and have nothing to show for it
- Easily scathed, skin as thin as paper sometimes although his reactions are less rage and more muttering and brooding
- Very insecure, the false confidence is an effort to cover it
- Desperately wants titles he doesn’t deserve, such as being a “leader” for the power and spotlight but having no real leadership qualities
- Extremely selfish, even without meaning to be. Often only considers his own comfort and feelings over others.

POWER DETAILS
- The sin of Pride is regarded as the most powerful sin, stories say the sins of Pride could open pocket dimensions and warp some reality to their liking...
- THIS Pride however is struggling to figure out those powers, making him the weakest in the group at current time
- At current, the best trick he can to is creating throwing knives from nothing, like a cheep magic trick. He uses this power QUITE often To try and make him seem cooler and more dangerous then he really is.
- He has tried to practice and he can do similar tricks to some extend, however all his practice is in private... hurts his ego too much

FUN FACTS
- Despite joining the group second, he’s physically the eldest in the group by 1 year
- Transgender, was able to transition by making a deal with a shady mage
- Died from blood loss from a stab wound
- Hates that his death marking is on his side like it is... he feels like it would’ve been cooler why couldn’t it have been the chest or something?
- Farsighted and cant see too well without glasses

CURRENT RELATIONSHIPS TO OTHER CHARACTERS

Wrath - If very intimidated by Wrath but could never say it out loud. He thinks Wrath is childish in the way he acts, but at least is hopeful SOMEONE thinks Lust is worse then he is.
Gluttony - Finds her to be rather annoying and clueless, but also thinks it’s terrifying how easily she can snap and go into a rage. He wishes someone of apparent nobility would have more manners.
Greed - Would like Greed more if he wasn’t such a smartest. Considers him a fellow ‘showman’ and in some ways is jealous of Greed. Pride very much wonders why, while both acting charismatic and flashy, Greed gets more positive attention then he does. Hurts his ego.
Envy - Finds Envy to at least be one of the more sensible ones of the group. While he thinks she wines too much and needs to be more great fun for her gifts, at least she’s not a fool like the rest of them.
Sloth - Thinks Sloth has a lot of nerve to be as rude and snide as he is, Pride also has his suspicions Sloth is a mage but no one would listen to him if he tried to accuse him.
Lust - Lust and Pride are the only two sins who had a... personal history before their deaths. Their feelings about each other are nasty and complicated. On Prides end, all he’s ever let on is that he things Lust is a snake. He’s been very vocal that Lust is manipulative and unfeeling, that hes selfish and doesn’t care about any of them... However Pride clearly has some unresolved feelings for Lust as well...
