PAST

Maymie hatched in the woods where his mother had left her egg. Soon after hatching he was found by an old hermit who lived in a tiny hut in a clearing not far away. Maymie grew up surrounded by plants and greenery. The old hermit hermit taught him well, showing him powerful earth magic and guiding him on a balanced and nature-bound path. Young as he was, he thought he would stay there in the woods forever, just him, the hermit and the life of the forest. He was a very happy Wyngling growing up.
As a young adult Maymie decided to dabble in the occult, after hearing tons of stories from his adopted parent about great heroes and destined quests of glory. Wanting to be virtuous himself, he didn't dare touch dark magic. Instead he started reading everything he could find - not much, given his location - on fortune-telling. It quickly became a passion of his, although sadly, his talents for divining the future were pretty much non-existant.
When Maymie was 25, his mentor died of old age, leaving the young 'gro in a state of shocked devastation. After days of almost non-stop crying, he eventually decided that he couldn't stay in the hut he had grown up in. There were just too many memories haunting the place. So he set off into the forest. Everyday he tried his fortune-telling to show him the right way. It took him over a year to stumble out of the forest and into Wynsiph. Overwhelmed with the bustle of civilization he almost turned right back into the woods, but he - literally - ran into Dr. F who had been laboriously collecting herbs for his clinic. Before his anxiety could get the better of him, Maymie had approached the doctor and bluntly told him he was picking the herbs wrong. A heated discussion and confident demonstration later, the doctor invited Maymie to join him for dinner, even going so far as to offer him a bed for the night.

That was two years ago. By now, Maymie has his own shop for herbs, teas and incense, where he also offers his - still dysmal - fortune-telling skills. Dr. F is still his best customer. They meet at least once a week for dinner.

PERSONALITY

Maymie is a happy, excitable Wyngro. He loves helping others, though his social skills could use some polishing. He tends to be overly confident in his skills and doesn't hesitate to argue his case. He loves nature and plants, growing and nurtering most of his herbs himself. The only thing he loves almost as much is divination, even though it often leads to frustration. Maymie is still a child in many ways, but that also means he doesn't handle disappointment well. He starts crying over the silliest things and he can get very huffy when he doesn't get what he wants.
But in general Maymie is a very friendly hippie who loves life and who is always happy help others.
