Wander-lust runs in the family streak and the members of the family are almost always on the move in between regions on various traveling methods. Rue’s father, Abel Wite, is an idiot. Not the technical mental retardation type of idiot… okay, maybe a bit of that as well, but rather, the man doesn’t seem to ever notice that there are certain things you just can’t do. For example, expect your dragonite to surf right behind the S.S. Anne just because you forgot to buy the ferry ticket. Or, venture into stormy blizzards with no provisions. However, Abel has always survived those death-defying trips into the wild and he prides himself in living to tell the tale to his daughter, whom he later began to bring with him on said type trips. Then, there is Rue’s mother. Josaphine Marceltez, a beautiful and well-educated pokemon scientist of an upper-middle class family background. Josaphine is pretty much the opposite of Abel: calm, collected, calculating, and most importantly, careful. There are still debates between the parents about who has fallen for the other first, but considering how that topic seems to never reach a conclusion it can be said that the two love each other very much. Probably.

Family: Ralle Haster and Zea Wite: Auntie and uncle from her father's side. Even though the Haster family isn't in the Wite family trade, Rue's parents and the Haster couple get along quite well.

[link] Ophrensis Haster, nicknamed Rensi: Rue's paternal first cousin. Rue was raised with Rensi at their grandparent Wite's home in Terracotta before Rue set off traveling with her parents at age 5. For some reason Rensi seems to be deadly terrified of Rue, and has yet to successfully make direct eye contact with his cousin. If Rue knows the reason why Rensi is afraid of her she sure doesn't show it. As a matter of fact, Rue doesn't even seem to see Rensi as a boy half the time, but she has never treated him like a real girl either. Rue thinks that Rensi will die for sure if he is left alone in the wild, because be cannot take care of himself at all. But Rensi would probably die before agreeing to traveling with Rue.

Grandpa Wite: Albert and Zea Wite's father, once the best dragonite rider of his generation. However, now the old man just hangs around Terracotta where the Wite house is and talking incoherent things to anyone who will listen. He raised his grandchildren wrong, that's for sure. Seeing as how both Ophrensis and Rue ended up crossdressing a lot more than the average children of their generation. As a matter of fact, it is mostly for this reason that Josaphine (Rue's mother) insisted on having Rue start traveling with her husband and herself so early on in life and leave Terracotta.

Grandma Wite: Just like every female of the Wite family, she is the boss of her own husband, grandpa Wite. Apparently she was a very successful pokemon trainer when she was young (as well as beautiful, she insists) and had a lot of people courting her. But when young Grandpa Wite literally swept her off her feet riding a shiny dragonite she knew that man is the one for her, even if he is an idiot with no common sense. Grandma Wite has a big vegetable farm in the back of the Wite house in Terracotta, and she is very proud of her squashes and corns that no nearby farms can rival.

Biography: The Wite Family runs a long-standing tradition of which every children of the family who wishes to set off into the world must first pass a coming-of-age trail which actually doesn’t involve any age limit. Rue secured her first pokemon at the age of 5, the required dratini in order to join the Wite family’s trade of flying dragonite. Ever since then, Rue has been traveling with her father for five months a year and traveled with her mother for the other five. During two pre-determined two months of every year the three members of the family would either attend some sort of event such as watching a contests or a tournament and/or venture to a specific hot-spot hoping to see a legendary pokemon.
When Rue turned 10, she stopped traveling with her father after she got her own pokemon trainer license and went her own way. However, the family continues their two-months-per-year-meet routine along with the rest of their family members all over the world. In the past year, Rue worked on inter-regional delivery jobs with her dragonite. She attended the UBF as a part-time pokemon nurse a year ago, and the tournament forever changed her life. Rue decided, after witnessing amazing determination from various trainers and the undeniable skills of hard-trained pokemons in the trails that she too, would like to experience the world of pokemon battles. Despite her prior dislike at activities that might cause harm to pokemons because of her intended profession, Rue finds that both herself and her pokemons quite enjoy the joy of victory from battles. Eventually, Rue caught news of the Helios Conference that will commence in Goldenrod City. Not only is the event held by one of her most-admired trainers, it seems to be the perfect chance to try out her newly assessed team of pokemons after her temporary retirement from being a tour-guide. That, and she really, really wants to have a chance at seeing a legendary pokemon.

Personality: Rue is extremely determined, undeniably resolute, and probably unmovable when she has decided on something. There seems to be an unending amount of energy originating from Rue, and the girl can easily muster up insane power in the form of brute strength or violent reactions. She can’t stand things that just doesn’t seem to make sense to her, hence all supernatural phenomenon such as haunting and inexplicable happenings would make Rue lose her reasons and resort to extreme violence. Over the year since UBF, Rue has found one side of her less well-known personality. Anyone admired by Rue would become victim to her absolute lock-on, and she would literally glitter all over their presences and even starting fan clubs. And anyone that insults her ‘idols’ would have to face the wrath of the crazed fangirl.

Extra: Rue is a feral child that has no problem living in the jungle and eating what nature has to offer. However, she has started to take interest on cute items such as dolls and pretty clothes as well as ‘girlier’ activities such as dressing up.

Nite loves sweet food, which Rue later diagnosed as the reason she managed to catch him in the first place (chocolate baiting). And if you expect the giant dragon to carry you on a day-long trip in the skies or the seas you will have to surrender a decent about of sweet-treats. Nite can be terrifying when enraged, and the cause is usually because of a lack of sugar or harm coming to Rue’s way.
Extra: A big sweet-tooth, and very loyal to Rue.

Pkm#2: Tale

Bio: Tale sees himself as the only member of the team that isn’t easy-going. In fact, he is so very uptight that if he has decided that he will not do a certain thing it would be impossible to convince him otherwise. The macho, self-disciplined Ninetail has followed through all declarations but one: NOT letting Rue use him as a sleeping mat + fluffy tail covers. Despite his size and probably air-resistant tails, Tale is one of the fastest pokemons Rue has. Such an ability was discovered only after an accident involving a cliff and an overweight snorelax. Since then, Rue has been giving Tale specific training on harnessing his speed.
Extra: His special training in speed has also enabled him to run away faster when Rue demands that he becomes her sleeping mat for the night.

Bio: Rue never meant to capture herself a Cherrim, but the cheerful little bud just dropped out of a tree during a short resting break on Rue and Nite’s second trip to snow point city for deliveries. The thing is, little Bloom began dancing on Nite’s head. However, Nite good-naturedly did not mind since the Cherrim smelled like sweet fruits, and eventually when its time to leave the area and the plant pokemon just wouldn’t leave them alone Rue captured it and it became part of her team. Cherrim specializes in distracting and lowering the tension levels of pokemons during treatment, and recently Rue has been using Bloom in try-out double battles along with Ai.
Extra: A very accurate weather forecaster, as well as an alternative when Rue doesn’t have an umbrella.

Bio: Leon was a recused glaceon abused by an illegal glaceon breeder, who of which was defeated by Rue when she was 11. Leon never liked Mic the Jiggly Puff but was surprisingly depressed when Mic was no longer in Rue’s immediate team but instead with Rue’s mother’s research center. However, Leon soon distracted himself from his gloom by making enemies with the meaner side of Ai the Sableye.
Extra: Leon doesn’t like noises or even music, Rue thinks it’s because they remind him of Mic. Rue also thinks that Mic was Leon’s first crush.

Bio: Moe was captured by Rue shortly after she departed from Snowpoint when UBF ended. Rue spontaneously captured the fastest one she saw in the crowd and later decided that she would let Moe be her surfing pokemon instead of burdening Nite with everything. As a result, both Nite and Moe are opened to becoming the power houses of her new pokemon team.
Extra: Moe is very fast in ocean, and even among the regular Mantined her air borne distance and speed are splendid. However, she continues believe that she can actually stay air borne like a bird if she practice long enough. Hence she is very envious of Nite and constantly spies on him when he uses fly during training.

Bio: Ai’s first encounter with Rue was less than pleasant. Rue had screamed her lungs off with a pair of glowing eyes peered at her in the dark cave that she stayed for the night. The poor, startled Sableye never knew that his more mischievous and perhaps mean side would cause the human girl he was pranking on to punch the wall of the cave with such intensity, that, the cave fell apart and caved in. As bizarre as it might seem, the moment Rue dived out of the collapsing cave with the Sableye in toll was the moment of ‘love at first sight’ for Ai. He decided that he shall forever follow Rue. Ai has two ‘faces’, one is the meaner and scheming Sableye that loves shiny gems and raisin bread. The other side is usually shown in front of Rue, which is the cute and lovable little Ai.
Extra: Ai gets jealous easily with any pokemons or humans that are close to Rue, however, he appears to be friendly with most of them (except Leon, whom he bullies sometimes) for strategic reasons.
