Eyy it's a Vikavolt!Not really much else to say here. I just decided to quickly go back to my old traditional way of doing vectors for a bit, and I only just realised that Vikavolt has my colours down to a T.
Anyway, I know it's not much, but I hope you all liekΒ Β

Smooth as always Thunder! I was looking through some of your work again and I think I know whats missing in some of your original work; well something in MY opinion that i'd like to suggest to you and see what you think about it.
Since you mostly work with vectors, it means that you use shapes a lot, right? ( im actually not sure on that part since I haven't done vectoring myself so i can't judge them much) I was wondering maybe if you focused on drawing more complex creatures other than snakes (something like the origami style) it would suit your work better.
I also suggest adding 'texture' to some of your work too! Which is something that i think affected your thought on your work of Ori which you believe is one of your personal favorites. You managed to give it more life by adding the shading in it which works as a type of texture and avoids making the art look plain.
Well.. what do you think? This got longer than I had hoped

I don't really know where to begin! I agree that more complex creature would possibly lend t my style more, but I also luv snakes, and it'd be a shame to give that up...
If you have any suggestions/requests of the kind of creatures you're thinking, please send them to me! I'd love to hear your thoughts.
I think the texture would be a great addition to the work too, much I really don't have much of a clue HOW to. No one's ever taught me how to draw, I taught myself this program and that's all I really know...

Well if you want to get better you have to try new things and challenge yourself! Just because you are drawing new things it doesn't mean you are forgetting what you can draw already!
But to not pressure you.. how about trying out snake like dragons? They are much more detailed and are also like a snake!
For non snake body forms i suggest foxes, leopards, and perhaps wolves? Those are great starters for getting to know how four legged canines and felines (what i draw the most) work.

I'd definitely like to try and expand what I can draw. I understand it's not good to just specialise in one topic, else you can never really grow as an artist. I guess I just get scared sometimes that no one will like it if what I draw turns out bad...

Also i understand how you feel; since i used to be like that too but hear me out: as long as yoy enjoy what you are doing, Thats enough. Just keep drawing what you like and one day you'll be an amazing artist where everyone admires your art and only idiotic people give bad feedback only to try tic people off. (I still don't know why they do that tbh XD)
But if anyone does give you a genuine bad feedback like tell you that they feel like something about your drawing is off, get as much as benefit you can from it.

Any that you feel more comfortable with! Felicia might be a bit challenging since she is quite expressive (i know there are zorua pictures you can use as ref but well i don't know XD )
Mana is probably a good pick too, she has a smooth body structure, her eyes and fluff might be some challenge but no drawing is without them!
And of course! I see potential in many artists like yourself! It would be a shame for your skill to go to waste! Especially after hearing you are SELF TAUGHT LIKE WOW-

Well I used to be terrible at drawing cats too until i spent some time with my friends on flockmod who were drawing warrior cats. Thats when i managed to draw something that looked accurate to a cat and i felt reaally amazing

Now you might think that but here is what i believe:
There is no limit to art no matter what you specialize in.
And i don't believe in 'bad' art. And skill is something that can be developed. You could make vector art that takes A LOT OF SKILL to do! More than what you think about pen drawings. There is no "better" art style; its only the matter of making art you enjoy

I suppose you're right there. I feel like I've hit the limit of what I can do with vectors at my current skill level of actually drawing on paper. I think what I'd LIKE to do is get better at the basics, and actually learn how to draw properly, then I'll start figuring out what style I want to go for.

Hmm.. well I usually spend time imagining my ocs when i want to sleep or put them in different scenarios and imagine their reactions. Or i listen to music and see if i can relate the lyrics to anyone

Owl's are very expressive through their eyes. I've seen one from close before. Their pupil shrink to a really small dot if they are scared or feel like they're in danger ^^ but when they are calm their pupils are big and cuute~

I think it looks awesome! I used Vika-volt for the first time on my Ultra-Sun team. Surprisingly not as high as a speed stat as I was expecting, but still quite a handy dandy team member~.Β

Oh they fixed that on Ultra S/M. You can evolve it at the Power-plant on the third island now too, which is really nice.
