Haywire foaled approx. 11:00am on a surprisingly hot day near the end of March, just after the Solstice; dark colt dipped in white. He was assumed to be black, as dark as his hide was, but as he dried off and started running around the fields with his dam, notes of dark chocolate at his points started peaking through.

This colt was Haywire's first foal at BCC. They couldn't resist throwing Aztec's and Harkness's bloodlines together, and as a result this colt was watched like a hawk by people across the world. Would he be the next champion? Would he be the next King of Racing and carry on his family's success? Or would he be an absolute dud like Canaan's foals seemed to be?

Regardless of his future, it was still a joy to watch the white-bellied baby gallavant around the foal paddock without a care in the world.
