Description
Aaaand back to our regular unpaid program...Thunderjam, owner of BCC Stables, had high hopes for Risa's first foal. The blue mare had filled out nicely and was now tame to a person's presence. She had not yet been saddle broken--that would come within the next few months, now that she had given birth--but she no longer kicked and fought any and all passers-by.
TJ knew Risa's pretty mustang blood would blend nicely with Brazen Fields' handsome stud, Vanquish, whose son and grandson now resided at BCC Stables as successful studs. What she had not expected, however, was the tiny little filly that currently stood on wobbly legs, nursing.
The birth had been a terrifying one: the foal had been breech, and it had taken TJ, the stable manager, and three other hands to hold the frantic dam still in order to turn the breech around. When she was born, she didn't breathe for 1.27 minutes. Then, she wouldn't nurse.
Despite the turmoil and terror that surrounded the newborn filly during the immediate hours after her birth, she survived.
All the BCC decendents of Vanquish had name that began in a 'V'--Vanquish, then Valient, then Vendetta. TJ plans to continue this tradition, and had hoped to do so with Risa's foal. However, when the filly was cleaned up and her brilliant markings were studied for the first time, TJ felt the need to name her Phoenix Flying, after the large wing-shaped blotch on her chest.
Name: Phoenix Flying
Barn Name: Phoenix, or Phee
Gender: Filly
Color: Silver bay roan tobiano
Eyes: mouse-brown
Markings: tobiano markings; large "winged" white marking on her chest
Breed: Mustang cross
Bloodlines: Risa x Vanquish

Stable: Black Creek Crossing Stables
Art and Character (C) Me
Vanquish (C) *Greatalmightyqueen
Ref: ~Mustang4-Stock
NOTE: Phoenix's "silver bay roan" coloring is based off the prettiest little pony that was boarded at the stables I used to ride at. The bay/blue roan appearance is very rare, but is possible. Imagine my ecstasy when I noticed it was on the Color Calculator list!
The chest marking she's named after is commonly seen when crazy artists decide to make up characters with spots that have meanings, but I couldn't help it. We all need at least one cliched character in our stables.
EDIT: Just realized I forgot to color her hooves. ...Oh well.
AAAAND I also forgot to darken her muzzle. This is what I get for drawing instead of going to bed on time.

I KNOW. It's annoying. I was all like "LA DEE DA" while painting until after all the white was done.
I was uber tired though and didn't want to fix it.
SO! Should I keep the coloration and change the "silver" to "regular bay roan" or make her silvered in her adult picture?
