Just some shameless self promotion of all the unis thus far. I'm making the rest of the colors soon and I'm more than happy to do adoptables of any species in any color by request. I can do custom neopets as well.EDIT: I should add the individual ones are all up on my page and are available for you to download and use as you like, provided you give credit where it is due. They don't cost anything... yet. I'll take donations, though!

Yeah, I prefer it that way and almost no one does custom adoptables like that. Also, if I have a problem with a design, this allows me to change it. I don't like how mass-produced neopets looks anymore with the newer flash-based pets. I know it's to make it easy to put clothes on them, but still.

Whoa... That's 11! How about you narrow it down to your favorite two for now (if they already have art for them, that makes it slightly easier than just a pet in costume) and I'll do the Tyrannian Cybunny anyway. Then, once I have done some other stuff for other people, I'll do more of yours. Also, specify whether or not you want them to be quadrapeds (on four legs) or bipeds (on two legs), as some of the art you have for your Neopets shows them as bipedal, like Jigkim for instance. Also, no art trades - I only do things for donations, which are voluntary.

Haha, that's fine, I totally understand! That's why I said I had a lot xD And thank you! I prefer that any of the custom cybunnies (in the future) are done as bipeds, just because my main four already were.
I'd be incredibly thankful if you did Krieslyn and Paindly, actually, and biped would be perfect for both. They don't actually have any special outfits, so it's really just a baby cybunny and trasparent poogle.

Okay! I'll add these two to the list. Yeah, I do it for donations because really it can't make any sort of money on the neopets stuff, as it's not technically owned by me. Also, it's just something to do for fun, which is return enough.

You can't, actually. You can get in serious legal trouble (I've taken business classes that address what can and can't be done with existing art pieces, whether they be music, paintings, drawings, etc). I can redraw them all I want and put them wherever I want as long as I acknowledge they're not my original designs, which basically means I cannot say they're mine. However, when I attempt to make any sort of money off of them, whether it be through transfer or actual funds, like PayPal, or through something that represents actual money, like dA points, I'd be breaking the law because they are not my designs to be making money off of. For example, I can't make plush toys of Mickey Mouse and sell them online because I don't own any rights to Mickey Mouse as a design - Disney would be all over me. Only they can sell Mickey toys. I believe the only instance in which I could make money off of the designs would be if they are a parody of the original Neopets, in which case they've been completely reimagined and taken out of their original context. That's why Weird Al can make parodies of actual songs and sell his version without getting a license to do so.
Sorry - I don't mean to belabor the point, but I get this response a lot and it concerns me because I don't want any young artists here getting in big trouble because they don't know copyright laws.

No, no it's okay, I totally understand. I just know that there are certain instances where if you're not selling the character/image, you're selling the art, it's different. When I had art class we discussed something similar, but our teacher was a bit of a ditz and it just came out sounding like a gray area. Like how at conventions people can sell art of copyrighted characters, but they're selling the art not the character.

Bottom line is you can't make money off of someone else's work. In the case of a convention, the artists may have obtained the rights to do so. If you can get approval from the original creator (or company that owns the rights to the original character), it's fine. The design becomes your own if it has been altered by a significant amount (I believe it's 70% according the law, but measuring 70% in terms of a design is a bit abstract). If someone one at a convention has redrawn Batman to look exactly like Batman by DC and sells this piece, yet this person has no affiliation with DC whatsoever, he or she would be breaking the law. However, if the Batman is a drastically different design (say, a fat, squat, cartoony one), it would be fine. That would be different enough from the original and may qualify as a parody. Keep in mind that people at conventions selling art work of characters that are not their own may have the expressed consent of the original creator or work for the company that owns the rights to the character and have been sent to the convention for this purpose (that is probably the case for big name comics or movie studios, like Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Disney, Dreamworks, etc.) They may even be the original creators. In my case, the Neopets most certainly have not been reimagined as some new "art" piece - they're quite true to the originals - and I do not have consent from Nickalodeon/Viacom to use the designs. So, no money for me.
