I actually kind of liked it. Because the teaser sort of gave us a hint of what the new Protagonist name will be. If you watched the video and look to the left at around 0:45. You'll see a pair of Dog-Tag's with the name RYDER written into them.
Plus if you recall the first trailer , the one people got butt-hurt over because of the frigging song choice. The song "Ghost RIDERS in the Sky" I think was also a hint for the protagonists name.

Oh wow it did say Ryder. I never would have picked up on that. But yeah I liked the trailer too. It just got me a tad emotional at the time lol.
And I dunno why people were so against that song. I love that song. It fits well.

Well I think its stems from A. A lot of people don't like Country. I'm not much of a fan of it myself. And B. They wanted Mass Effect original music, not already existing music, which them go, "What, no! I want a sci-fi adventure, not a cowboy themed one! This game is stupid!" Though I can name TONS of games that used existing song for their trailers.
