Description
It is widely accepted that dinosaurs are the direct ancestors of the birds, and among them include Archaeopteryx from the Jurassic period. My personal theory is that feathers first evolved among dinosaurs for two primary reasons; heat regulation first and foremost and secondly display, whereof the appearance of flight would first evolve later.

It is my belief that, similar to some species of bird today, Archaeopteryx also used colourful feather crests to attract mates of the opposite sex. Here I decided to showcase a male confidently approaching a female and showing off a display of green and red feathers.

For the male colouration I took inspiration from the typical peacock while the female was loosely inspired by your average female Eurasian blackbird.
