Literally. Promise to protect. Or to shield. Or in whatever other way you see it fit.
Once again, a reference to Shadow's rare quotes to Amy in Sonic Adventure 2. Once again, the works of my sick imagination, mixing violence and twisted illogical Sonic couples. XD
I don't like Shadow that much, but I find him more likeable if he was coupled with Amy. Amy rocks though. XD Long live girls with huge hammers!
I don't intend to color or enhance it in any way. The sketchy style here matches the crude aspect of this picture anyways.
I hope this doesn't look too much like MNT Gaiden Prologue... Heh.
Drawn while I was studying for my final Assembly language exam. XD

I saw this WAY before I joined DevArt, and always admired it. This one stuck with me. It's in how brutally cut up Shadow is, but he refuses to relent, and in his "Back Off!" expression, along with Amy's horrified look.

Awesome! This is always the way I envisioned Shadow and Amy as a couple...instead of Shadow suddenly becoming OTT romantic, he protects Amy. It's more in-character, I think.
I love your drawings. ;w; but MAN, I didn't realize how cut up Shadow's spikes were! It seems like they'd be nearly falling off at that point!

Perhaps it would've been far more respectful for you to not tell someone that "your favorite pairing is better" and theirs "doesn't make sense" if you didn't want to offend a person.

You already know this is awesome, details, emotions, concept---nailed it. The overcoating of romance, the sentimentality and fluff isn't really what ShadAmy is about to me; it's the emotionality and the overprotectiveness. 
...Wait, this is referencing from Sonic Adventure 2? I've heard a lot of people say Shadow's promise to Amy meant he'd always protect her. I am a supporter of them, but...why do people say that?

I can't get enough of this pic. A new story always pops into my mind and then I stop, look at the picture again and think of a new story. it's weird, but I just get so tingly from this pic. This is an awesome picture, it's true Shadow does look better with Amy than Sonic does. I enjoy the fact that this picture shows the few times when he cares about other things than finding his past. I think Sega could have developed him so much better and further but thats what fans are for right? lol

Wow really cool! He looks scary, intimidating and like he is having a rough battle with who ever wants to hurt Amy. She should help him, she's not hurt at all and Shadow is losing a lot of blood! (It also looks like he's going to lose hair too haha!) Nice job!
