Literally. Promise to protect. Or to shield. Or in whatever other way you see it fit.
Once again, a reference to Shadow's rare quotes to Amy in Sonic Adventure 2. Once again, the works of my sick imagination, mixing violence and twisted illogical Sonic couples. XD
I don't like Shadow that much, but I find him more likeable if he was coupled with Amy. Amy rocks though. XD Long live girls with huge hammers!
I don't intend to color or enhance it in any way. The sketchy style here matches the crude aspect of this picture anyways.
I hope this doesn't look too much like MNT Gaiden Prologue... Heh.

I love the emotion in this. Amy looks downright frightened/upset and Shadow's ready to get bloodied up to protect her. I'm not big on ShadAmy, but I really like this.

I can imagine Shadow getting very passionate about Amy and being ready to die for her. I think his cold deteached personality is because he doesn't want to let anyone close, to hurt them (like his poor Maria). He loves Amy too much to hurt her.
