And updated version of this .It's gotten quite popular lately, so I decided to update it and make a better version.

HOW TO USE1. Download file by clicking "Download"
2. You will get a file of 14 transparent pictures.Β
3. Open any/all files in an image editing program - Flash works best, as this was made using Flash.
4. Edit it however you wish.
5. Compile it using a movie-making program.Β
6. Animation!

the lineart is vector-based so i think unless youre colouring it in in Flash or smth similar it won't work that well
there's a version with a pixel-based lineart tho, if u wanna check it out!

it's possible to use this in photoshop
for flash, i suppose you'd have to load it in frame by frame... i'm not really sure what's the best way to do it, sorry D:

i drew the individual frames in flash, but then exported them out as .png, so i don't know how you'd import them back in, except maybe one by one

You have to set a white background (as a video layer under the layer you're using for the lines)
If you're doing this in flash, same thing.
the program uses a default black background if you don't specify one yourself because the lines are transparent
get back to me if this doesn't work (also what program youre using because that might be what's up)

Right I'm struggling with a run cycle for my animation ;^;
It's gonna be on YouTube if that's possible
And I use WMM so how many seconds for each frame?
I'm using the song 'Blue Lips' by Regina Spektor and I want it to fit in with just the part "He Stumbled into faith and thought..."
Sorry for so many questions if nobody can answer, I'll just figure it out myself ;w;

The "stumbled" part is ~4 seconds long.Β
It depends on how fast you want the cat running, but for a smooth animation i'd use all 14 frames per second.
however, i think it'd look better if you slowed it down to only 7 frames per second. that way, you would have two full "leaps" or turns of the cycle for the 4 seconds.
if you want to use the 7fps, make sure to fade them into each other just to add that bit of smoothness.
