This is amazing. I love the aged/worn effect. Could you tell me where you've got the colours from and am I correct that you used black primer and then carefully sanded over the parts after they've been painted, in order to get this worn-out feeling or did you use dry-brushing?

Thank you, I sand all the parts before I primer. I had a different color pattern in mind so I used a grey primer, But decided half way through to go with a steam punk look and a Black primer is far better for that. For the weathered look I used a flat black enamel paint on aΒ Wedge Shaped Foam Brush, the paint is kinda thick so use one or two drops of paint thinner to loosen it up (very little thinner). If you use this brand of copperΒ (Rust Oleum Universal Aged Copper Metallic Spray) it makes weathering process a lot easier. The gold is kinda hard I used a thinner gold paint so that the gun still function, and with thinner paint it's easier for the gold to come off when you're weathering it, so black primer is better in case you have to reapply more gold! I hope that helped, and thanks again! oh and the Gold I used was (Rust-Oleum 1910-830 12 oz Gold Metallic Spray Paint )

This gun is better than the Maverick and looks pretty darn similar. I don't know why I haven't seen more steam punk versions of this than I have.
Very nicely done. You did a good job making it look warn and on the colors, and I love the crosses.

Thank you very much, I was hoping that there would be more people making them steampunk so I could get some kind of color base, but there wasn't alot so I just went with Aged Copper and Gold, and kept my fingers crossed.

Dude, this is awesome, the paint job really gives it a rustic/antique feel. Almost looks like its a guns for killing demons or something. Great Work!
