Behold the horrible car! It's not even the right kind, I couldn't find a ref for the kind it was supposed to be. Heh.

I have to say I love the detail and everything in this manga series. I like the Socs liscence plate says: I'm a soc. Hahaha. By the way is it ok if I make an outsiders manga to? I mean I won't copy you or anything, I was just asking. I was just asking because I thought you might be like "OMG they are doing a manga series to? Copyer!" Or something like that.

Thank you -- I always enjoy playing around with detail and design. But I don't have any more right to make an Outsiders comic than you do! I've stuck as closely as I can to the book, so I don't feel like I "own" anything, except perhaps the panel layouts. It's so totally okay and I hope it goes well for you. One of my favorite parts of fandom is seeing how everyone approaches the source differently.

Also, if you've read The Outsiders, you should check out one of the other books by S.E. Hinton, called Tex. I'm almost finished reading it, but it's funny how similar the characters in Tex are to those in The Outsiders. The main character's big brother is an athlete against drugs and stuff, and much too serious (like Darry). The main character also loves horses. There's even the mention of baloney in the story! Just thought you might like to know.

Yeah, I don't have the patience to create comics. Most often comic projects are abandoned almost immediately after I started, and when I look back at them I think, "Why did I even bother?"

I usually get about this far before I lose it... And then, by the time I feel like continuing, the art at the beginning is so out-dated that I just wanna start over. XD I never regret comic projects, though, because you can't learn how to make good comics without trial and error. It's just one of those skills you have to feel out for yourself.

Eh,they were close.But with boys,two years really makes a difference.And Ponyboy was so tall,in the scene at the hospital when he hugs Darry,Ponyboy's head rests against Darry's chest.His head should be against Darry's abdomen or a little higher.

He did. I wasn't really expecting that, but he was supposed to have black hair and eyes... And yeah, most of them were average. I think it was for the sake of realism. But, I mean, Sodapop was supposed to look like a model, and he wasn't even blond...

I think his "Hispanic look" made him softer and sweeter.I wouldn't have took him any other way,and I think he came out the best followed by Dallas(when he's not crying).A friend of mine is still in love with Sodapop and his character in the movie as well and finds him hot.But I agree with you,he should've looked a little more model-ish.
