(finnally! I draw!! XD full view please! thanks! <3 )Himura Kenji (not Kenshin! ^^x ) from Rurouni Kenshin! ^^x and he's around 16 years old here..
the kanji are the characters for his name in japanese. ^^
yea, I was rewatching Ruroken anime+ ova recently. It brings back good memories, and it's still one of my most favourite anime of all times! <3
so haha...this is Kenji, I wished that we get to see Kenji as main character in anime...oh well...
The objective of drawing him was to look more like 'anime' style, compare to the 'human realistic style' he was drawn in the OVA. (cuz he had never appeared in the TV anime style before...n___n)
oh. I still cry my head off in the 2nd Ova (now, I rewatched 80% of it and I dun want to go any further cuz I already knew that @#$%^&*! ending... ^^")
anyways, I'm 100% stickin to the manga's ending!! >< (although there were some scenes I really like in this OVA...the Kenkao ones, of course!! ^^x)
ps. haha I'm praticing to draw flowers...no references for them....hmm...and it reminds me of the time when I draw those sakura in 'bittersweet memories'...troublesome. XD
pss. in colours....soon. I'm just trying to figure out which medium I should colour in.... ^^x

He's in the 28th volume and in Yahiko no sakabatou. Watsuki explains what he's supposed to be like and he said that he's more cyinical than Saitou and more self-centered then Shishio. He's a big turd.

Yes, I have to say that RuroKen trumps just about anything out there, even now, especially if you stick to the canon episodes. And though it took some getting used to, I think the English dub is pretty tolerable, even likable (at least for the TV series -- I hated the dub for the movie and OAVs, so I stuck to the original Japanese for those) though Kenshin's "oro?" is so freaking adorable. It threw me at first to have such a masculine voice for Kenshin, but DUDE! LEX LANG as Sano! What's not to like? (I've got a real thing for Lex Lang as a voice actor, okay?) And those outtakes are almost all a riot.
My beef with the OAV was that Kenji came off as quite the asshole. I found myself wishing that Hiko would beat the shit out of him just for being a little shit.
Also, the OAV didn't focus enough on the fight with Enishi. Something that substantial should have gotten more development, instead of being thrown in as a "Oh, by the way, this happened too."
But that OAV redeemed itself with Sano, cuz the longer hair and the stubble made him even hawter than he was before.
