so did they come out a lil squidgy then? is the lizard prop fully silicone? im very new to the material and having great trouble casting! they look great btw

I left the tail squiggly and put an armature in the rest so it would be posable. Silicone is a great material, you can even foam it now for translucent makeups.

Great work! What clay did you use for the two-part mold?

That's sculpted out of Chavant, sulfer based oil clay, cement mold (ultracal 30) thank you it was a quick job, just a couple of days to get them done.

Nice! Thanks for the information. Chavant NSP is my favorite plastiline by far! I'll have to try cement for silicone casting, I've just been using a shore 45 platinum silicone for casting softer silicones, but that can get expensive.
They look good for only having taken a few days!

Thanks, it was a quick one night job, but they matched the real ones very closely so it turned out well

I know I work in one I am sick of deskjobs. But our museums have no budget for that sort of things.

thank you hun, I had to match a real lizard, so the size and colors are as close to him as I could get (he's the stunt lizard hehe
