Description
At last! The final draft! Well, this is the "unclean" (not cleaned up in photoshop) version. Lots o eraser marks. I'm really not completely happy with it. His hair bugs me, and their anatomy is off. bah. But I'd love to know what ya think!Seth and Rhiannon ("Nonny"), the god of Energy and the goddess of the Hunt. How they love each other.....and hate each other!!!

Yeah, there's a bit of a problem with the anatomy here. This is supposed to convey a pretty soft, romantic moment, but their hands look pretty cruel and monstrous. I think you should redo their hands, because they look pretty evil while I think this image calls for more soothing, caressing hands.

Thank you very much for your feedback. "cruel and monstrous"....I had never looked at it that way, the male model's hand's were ginormous, as you can see in the original photo. But now that you put it that way...I think I've portrayed exactly what I needed to.
Yes, it's a romantic moment, and they are very much in love, but they also hate each other, which most of the time....far outweighs their love for each other. They are cruel and destructive to one another, and at times, their passion is all that keeps them together - if only for a short while.
So cruel and monsterous....might just work for these two...

As far as anatomy goes, I think the only thing I can see is the arm length. The arms look just a little too long. The way I remember arms is: when they are at your sides, elbows should be at/close to the waist line

I think her body should be closer to his, and her head, her neck dont match to the torso.
But I love it so far. Its very beautiful.

I like his hair, actually. Kinda looks like dreadlocks. The wings are cool, too.
The anatomy... hmm...
The girl looks pretty good, although her head is kinda small. It also looks like you elongated her torso to fit her into the pose you wanted. This might look okay if you just made it look thicker as we get closer to her hips and butt, because really, a woman's hips start almost at her belly button.
Most of your problems are with the guy, especially his arm and hand. His shoulder should be up higher, closer to his neck and probably overlapping the wing a bit. The upper arm is curved in the wrong direction. If you look at an arm in that position, the tricep is actually longer and bigger than the bicep. His arm is also a little too long, the forearm especially. If you move the shoulder up and have the arm bent closer to a right angle, you can still have his hand reach her shoulder without making it all huge to compensate.
I don't know if these things are easy to fix. I'm pretty sure you could redraw the arm without messing up stuff around it, and just fixing that would go a long way toward improving the drawing as a whole.

Came here from GimmeFeedback.
Since you said above you were going to clean this up in photoshop, you might well be able to take the portions you are unhappy with and rework and resize them as part of your clean up in PS.
As was mentioned, the hand seems large and to me the woman's head seems too small.
Copying them, scaling them up or down as needed a bit, then redrawing the lines in photoshop will probably be the best and easiest way to fix these problems at this point.

>.> I'm really not that familiar with photoshop. Not enough to do that. Erase the junk lines, yeah...
anyway, I know what you mean about the hand and her head. those are both the things I was referring to when I was talking about the anatomy.

Well you can use the marquee tool -- the thing that looks like a square drawn with a dotted line. Select the area you want to size, copy it then paste it. This will automatically get pasted into a new layer.
The new layer you can then use the menus above and go to edit > transform > scale to then scale that portion of image. If you want to scale something in proportion to itself then hold down the shift key while clicking and dragging a corner of the rectangle that will form around the area you are selecting.
Then use the move tool (looks like a 4 arrow cross to move the portion of the drawing where you want, or you can use the arrow keys on the keyboard to do that as well. Holding down shift while using the arrow keys will move it in 10 pixels at a time in the direction of the arrow you use.
After that you can use the eraser (looks like a rectangular eraser) and pick a brush with a soft edge (one that looks fuzzy) to delicately erase the edge of the area you scaled. Then you can probably use your usual technique to clean up the lines.
Hope that helps

I think its beautiful the wing detail is awesome. And the emotions that it conveys come across nicely. So what if it's not perfect. (
I'm the same way)

Not that I ko much about anatomy - that's my biggest problem, actually. But as a random viwer, when i look at it, this right hand looks... I don't know... unproporcional(?)
But I like the pic. It's very emotional

Thank you so much for your feedback!
yes....his hand bugs me too...! The model's hand was also quite large, but in the drawing it's like "Hello! I am a HAND! fwah!"
Thank you, I'm glad you like it. ^_^
