Your colours are much better, and further advanced, down there than ours are up here. I thought that in your part of the world it was late Oct and Nov. for the colour show. Just goes to show you...

Actually here it depends on the elevation, direction of the hills with respect to the sun, etc. You can be in a mostly green valley right now, drive over a ridge, and the next area is at peak color. They are all going to be very colorful this season because we had a steady rain from March to August.

We had the same rain but all we seem to be getting is a very quick turn and drop on the really red leaves and not much happening anywhere else. I still have hopes to find that perfect solitary red tree in all it's splendor with a perfect backdrop against the sky.
