I've always had a huge crush on this version of April O'neil ever since my friend called me up one late December Monday morning in 1987 and said, "you got to turn on your TV, The Ninja Turtles cartoon is airing!" So, I flipped on the 13 inch black and white with a coat hanger for an antenna and was blown away!
Hey, Erma was hot to! Who doesn't adore a young struggling mousy, obviously Jewish girl trying to find a man in the Big Apple? I know this guy does.
I've been wanting to do this cartoon for a while. I like the cell-shading that was going on in this show. That's always a treat to the flat colored shows. The light sourcing is no Galaxy Rangers or Mighty Orbots, but it was there, even if it was subtle.
So let's all just sit back and watch April's round plump keister get a good smacking by dear sweet Erma!
