So my cintiq pen's out of action for the next day, and I don't have access to a scanner, but I gotta give you guys something to go on, so have this adorable ickle kitty! He's being so helpful! You should get him to look at your laptop too!Related content

And that's why I have a folded blanket on my desk. To keep the cat off my keyboard.
Oddly, it mostly works!
(sometimes, though, he'll still wander in front of the screen... But usually he just naps on the blanket!)

Bet it works doubley well when the blanket's positioned near the out-vent of the laptop fan. A bunch of fresh heat to keep them even happier.

I keep my printer around just for the scanner. I re-draw all my comics digitally anyway, but I love to pad them out as paper first, makes them more, well, real.
Anyway, I'd suggest buying a hand-scanner, they're like £30 on ebay. Not perfect, and can take a little getting used to, but they're so useful! I can take a scan of my work (or time-sheets for work) anywhere I happen to be!

I normally have my scanner, but I'm at my parents' place for Christmas, and it's attached to my printer in Bristol. Bit annoying. XP
Hand-scanner? Y'know, I'd always wondered if that was a thing - never could be bothered to check. The more you know!
