Description
Somewhere near Hilltop, West Virginia. (If this is hilltop, I'd hate to see mountaintop.)Related content

Thanks so much. Too many of these glorious old places abandoned around the state.

There was a fence and a "no trespassing sign" or I would have gone inside. The house is empty--the front door is open and there was a great old chair in the open back door. So tempting! But the round hay bales weren't rotted.

reminds me of the derelicts in eastern washington..the old structures still there but abandoned..the land still used for farming. luckily the farms are miles big so its easy to sneak past the no trespassing signs for a quick shot or two

Why would you hate to see it? Appalachia is beautiful the higher you go^^

It's not the "seeing;" it's the driving. Narrow, twisting roads without guardrails.

Ahh, yeah. Those are doozies for anyone not born or raised there.
...I was born in flat NJ. I was sitting in the backseat of my grandma's car when we were in Virginia, the grandma who was born in those mountains, and is flying away at 75 mph making turns on a dime complete with engine revving and brake screeching.
