Description
Not much of a story behind this one; I was inspired to draw a female version of the Phoenix King costume, and figured I might as well put Azula in it. There are a million different AUs one could devise to make this scenario make sense, but personally, I didn't think too much about it. Insert backstory here.

As you can probably tell, I was doing a lot of experimentation with gradients, and for the most part I like the way they look. I'm also trying out a new, more detailed method of coloring in hair. Also, yes, I know the patterns on the inner lining of her gown-thingy (whatever you call that, I dunno) don't match up in perspective, and the story behind that is...well, I tried. But it just wasn't working. And I figured rather than spending all night trying to get every oval and square to recede properly into the background, I'd just make it a pattern and fill that shit in. If you don't like it, too bad. >_>'

Speaking of perpsective, I also had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to apply it to the winged collarpiece/ breastplate/ whatever the fuck that is. I think it turned out all right, but not perfect. Hmm...
