I love these kinds of drawings. Where you can make up your own story from seeing it. X3

It already looked cool in the blue-sketch, but this is much more awesome ^^
The person in the background does not look like he has much fun XD
And you use a crowquill to draw? Sounds very interesting. For what part of the picture did you use it exactly?

Thank you
He does not youre right.
The two of them are stuck in the forest and having enough problems to find a way out and all Ferris (in the foreground) has to do is teasing some caterpillars. -_-' what a jerk...
I often use crowquill(Zeichenfeder) for hatchings and very fine lines. You can vary line strengh in just one line. I did the white wrinkles in the jacket and the hatches in stones, and bark in the background.
Its very often used in mangas. Most people I talked to hate to draw with it. It required much care to handle... and you have to clean it up after using it every time ... XD
I did the wings of this one only with quill, and white ink. [link]

you're welcome ^^
Well, every story needs a jerk to make it interesting XD
Ah yes, I think I used a crowquill some time ago (at least I tried XD ). But it did not work well for me, because I have a general problem with inking my drawings, so even a liner gives me problems. I thought about using a very dark black crayon for lining instead, I've seen some artists doing that and I think I feel much better with pencils and crayons. And cleaning your materials after using it is not that bad I think. If you love to draw or paint, you should pay good attention to the materials you're using. I have to clean my brush avter doing calligraphy too, and I feel much better when it's clean afterwards And I can produce thinks of good quality with it.^^
And this moth looks awesome. I like the structures ^^

Thanks ^^
Hmm... I should clean my brushes a bit better.
"I always buy the cheap school brushes in a 10set use them 10 times and throw them away... XD"
I like pictures done with crayons. The pasell tones give it a more natural look.
I dont use them because I do outlines with liner and ink. The crayons would hide the outlines...
Ohh ... I got a nice calligraphy pen which you dont have to clean.
I use them to draw. But they intend to be calligraphy pens.
I got this one [link]

haha XD Well if only expensive brushes were as good as one would expect for such high prizes ...
Crayons are really good for soft drawings, but pictures with more action need stronger colours, I think ^^
I bought one of these for university, they are good to write japanese and chinese characters and work quite well.
But for my calligraphy course I use a normal brush ( I can buy them from my teacher for 1,50 Euro, so that is not a great expense ^^)

Thats true. Im not good at calligraphy. I tried it and... most time I dont know what to write... XD 1,50Euro is not that expensive. I always get my stuff by boesner. Its not really cheap.. but cheaper than other artist shops.

Well, my teacher always gives me some references, like chinese poems or sayings, so it's not that hard to decide ^^
I looked up the boesner website and some prizes are quite reasonable.
