I am really content with this piece, and as stated by TinyTentacle  

Gerakos first fought the Knight with soul orbs and nail as per a Soul Warrior, in the depths of Deepnest. as Each orb of scarlet flame let fly, the very mushrooms seemed to glow slightly brighter than usual. The knight spotted it when their nails clashed, a weakness in the Wasp Warrior's ancient nail. It was beginning to crack. Gerakos was too intent on the fight to notice this, and struck time and again with precision, but the Knight's blows were equally planned, each deflecting off of the weakening weapon. Soon with a powerful slash in mid air, the Knight had shattered the Wasp's nail. Gerakos fell to the ground then collapsed around his weapon and a near pathetic sound came from the warrior. Just as quickly though the wasp turned with a great howl of rage and rose into the air, summoning three scarlet orbs around him. Bringing his claws into the center of his chest he hovered there for a moment, and then the true fight began, the mushrooms turned red with nightmare, as Gerakos began to pull on the energy from his master. Finally when the Knight defeated him, he fell to the ground; "I have failed you master" and vanished in a could of nightmare essence.
