NEW TYPES ARE BEING INTRODUCED!!!This is a completely different kind of Pokemon journey being taken. Therefore, using the basic, EARTHLY elemental types isn't always going to cut it. There are some mons out there who defy common archtypes too much while exhibiting completely different type patterns.
For example, the Nuclear Type was conceived because they shared very little attributes associated with Poison-type Pokemon, and was capable of different things than the likes of Fire and Electric-types. So, after seeing enough of them floating around, a new type was conceived. A type that is very uncommon on Earth, but is VERY bountiful in extraterrestrial areas. This is the gist of WHY there are new types coming around. But what about this one in particular?

Offensive Properties
Super Effective Against: Grass, Water, Fairy, Normal, Fighting, Ground
Not Very Effective Against: Bug, Ghost, Electric
Doesn't Affect: Poison, Cosmic
Defensive Properties:
Is Weak to: Cosmic, Bug, Ghost
Resists: Psychic, Water, Grass, Electric
Unaffected by: Fairy, Poison
There hasn't been a single confirmed Nuclear-type Pokemon on Earth to this day. The reason being for that is very obvious; there's too little radioactive matter on Earth to effectively create a functioning Pokemon, a lot of it was only recently discovered by mankind, and the Earth's abundance in Carbon ensures that a living being will not be able to hold up exposed to so much radiation.
However, in space, radioactive matter can be considerably more common. Especially in planets where Uranium and Thorium are more common in the crust. They can have more profound of an impact on planets that have developed life. An impact that leads them to become coexistent with the otherwise harmful radiation levels.
Nuclear-type Pokemon are generally quite powerful, as they're utilizing a kind of force which produces immense amounts of energy. However, it's quite hard for them to defend themselves, because it's their body's instability that comes to their undoing.

At first look I would think radioactivity would also be quite affective against Normal type and Fighting type but that came be a move specific attack. I also dont' understand how radioactivity would be strong against creatures of the mind? Fairy makes since, warter also possible, grass obviously. Going with the corrupting of natural resources I would also put ground NOT ROCK but ground pokemon would be weak to Nuclear pokemon. Also I would consider either a two way resistance with electricity as well as poison. cause of the natural supercharged nature of Nuclear.

OH, man! This is actually my first time experimenting with a fake type, so there were bound to be mistakes here n' there.
But y'know....I never really thought of that. At first I thought that Psychic would be weak since radiation induced headaches n' all, but I think it would be more crippling to normal and fighting types now! And yes, Ground defintiely tends to be more polluted than rock.
And you mean, as in Electricity is is both Offensively super effective, yet defensively weak against Nuclear?

Actually with the Electricity I say that Nuclear is not very affective against Electricity and Electricity is not every affective against Nuclear. Since both are forms of energy neither one can get a good hold on the other.

alright cool I was thinking on Cathullu pokemon while we're at it. Since the mega form is not really a type perhaps Anti pokemon and God pokemon wont be really a type but if it was it's a 3rd type? what do you think about that? since they are both stronger than ALL types. They can get their "god" or "Anti" move that is like the "shadow moves" from pokemon Coloseum

Like something that carries natural Shadow abilities. Not because the door to its heart is closed, but its morality is so strange, it might as well be in comparison to Earthly Pokemon!
