I was thinking the same thing. Β They could have saved Doomsday for an adaptation of The Death and Return of Superman to be made AFTER Justice League. Β They would have used the old Superman Lives script and rewrite it to fit into the DCEU.

That would be awesome if we somehow travel back in time and possibly the DCEU, but would somehow possibly create a time paradox and maybe possibly destroy all the space and time continuum, you know something like that.Β

I do however like the idea of giving him the base Kryptonian powers. Given it is left vague whether Doomsday was a creature that originated from Krypton, or something created artificially. For if he was an ancient Kryptonian creature, he should have the base powers on the grounds of Krypto the Superdog having powers.
