Description This is a quick little chart I made of all of the sentient races I currently have in my comic world. This is still subject to change, but I think it is pretty much finalized!

Each of the main races are numbered, and I'll give a (hopefully ) brief description of each... Hope I don't bore you all to death I can get carried away!
_____

1. Creator: As the title suggests, it is the creator of the world of Taria. Little has ever been known about this entity, and most people living in Taria doubt it even exists at all.

2. Ae'vuum: Spirit creatures said to dwell in the Aerios (Plane of pure energy from where all magic originates) They are thought to be made solely to serve the creator, but their actual appearances and actions seem to be sporadic and random in nature. Little is known about them except that the Elves are descended from a mix of them and humans. Also, when one of these creatures is bound to the physical world, they are formed as a Dragon of Light.

3. Drae'mir: These beings are identical to the Ae'vuum in form, but seem to only be malevolent and self-obsessed. There are approximately 35 of them in existence, 15 of which are bound to the physical form as Dragons of Darkness.

4. Giants: These creatures are descendants of the Great elves and the Drae'mir. While the giants of the Eastern Plains seem to be relatively peaceful in nature, the Northern elves were as the Drae'mir totally evil and destructive. The Northern Giants were all eradicated by the Human Skovvar Empire and the Mountain Dwarves after the 45 year long war "War of Sorrows"

5. Humans: These creatures are almost identical to real-life humans. They were the only sentient beings created directly by the creator. From them all other sentient creatures are somewhat descended. Currently there are 3 main kingdoms of humans. The largest is the Skovvar Empire in Eastern Taria, the second is the Territory of Irrak in North-Eastern Taria, and lastly the Huntsman Allegiance in South-Eastern Taria.

6. Dwarves: These beings are nearly identical to the Humans except they tend to be slightly shorter and less intelligent. There is currently only one kingdom left of the Dwarves after the Huntsman Allegiance killed off all of the Valley Dwarves in the south. They are the Houses of the Hammer and their territory is in the mountains bordering the Skovvar lands and the Be'vaal lands.

7. Great Elves: These creatures are the direct descendants of the Humans and the mystical Ae'vuum. They are believed to have been created to help protect the Humans through their natural born skill in magic. They reach physical maturity in half the time of humans and are biologically immortal. Since they posses souls nearly identical to the Ae'vuum they are granted near effortless connection to the Aerios, giving them extraordinary ability in magic only limited by their physical form. They also can reproduce by telepathy by connecting their minds or as well reproducing as physically (They usually only use telepathic reproduction as not to damage the purity of their bloodlines)

Most of the Great Elves live on the extreme west coast of Taria in the golden city of Ae'to. Even thought they are the most intelligent sentient race in Taria, they are also the least friendly. Many of them are religious fanatics following the "Divine Creator"

8. Pale Elves: These Elves were the direct off shoot of the great elves living in North-Western Taria. In appearance they look just like the Great Elves but they have near pure-white skin, white or silver hair, and silver or red eyes. Most were killed in the "90 Year War" Between the Mountain Elves, Great Elves, and the Pale Elves. Their once beautiful homeland is now barren and full of volcanoes. A massive central Crater stands where their capital used to lie. Very few of these Elves remain. Most of whom were refugees running from the war.

9. Mountain Elves: These Elves were much like the Dwarves are to the Humans in appearance. They all lives in the Scales Mountains Bordering Elven lands and The Be'vaal lands.  Many were killed in the "90 Year War." All of the remaining suddenly and mysteriously disappeared a few decades later.

10. Common Elves: These Elves are the direct result of Humans mating with the various races of Elves. After the hundreds of years they now barely resemble Elves, and appear far more like humans. As a result most have been cast out of Elven lands and are now living among the Humans in Easter Taria.

11. Vaal Elves: After years of religious and political disagreement within the Great Elven political houses a small group of a few thousand Great Elves decided to pack up and head into the wilderness looking to start their own kingdom. As a species they always were more in-tune with nature and Alchemy. And they settled on the edge of Taria's largest lake, Lake Vaal. They took this name for themselves becoming the Vaal Elves. Many of their descendants now live in scattered tribes in South-Western and South-Central Taria. They are however still based out of the central city of Vi'taala on the edge of Lake Vaal. They're are also responsible for the research and creation of the various races of Be'vaal.

12. Be'vaal: This race was originally created by the Vaal Elves through a mix of powerful magic, strong alchemy, and clever science over hundreds of years. No one is quite sure why they were created, but the Vaal elves went all-out with their experiments. Nearly every animal race existent in Central Taria has been attempted to be mutated into sentient races. It was eventually realized that only a select few types of animals were strong enough to undergo the process. These being a few types of large predatory birds, a few large reptiles, and the largest portion containing types of large felines and canines.

Physically they resemble much of their Elven creators, while still retaining may of their animal traits including (but not limited to): Select instincts, bone structure in the extremities, hearing, vision, skin and fur, and many in many cases their animistic behavior. They also have a life cycle almost identical to that of a Human, except at exactly twice the speed. They are also almost entirely incapable of wielding magic due to their physical form.

Most of them live in the lands of central Taria, sandwiched between the Elven lands and the Human lands. They only have one kingdom the Great Wolf Alliance based out of the central capital of Dith'ata. Their culture is tribal in nature outside the city and inside resembles a caste system with the Great Wolves at the top (after they defeated the southern Felid races in the Great Civil War) (The caste system also prevents them from mixing races together keeping bloodlines pure) They have been described as a brutal people under their strict law the "Vaal'ar" In order to receive rights as a person, all Be'vaal are forced to register with Dith'ata under the Ra'hi. All outside of this law risk free capture, murder, and enslavement. Even Be'vaal living in Human land are required to register at the Dith'ata embassy in Skov to receive rights in Skovvar in accordance with Wolf-Human peace treaties, commerce, and slave trade agreements. They are also severely hated by the Great Elves for religious and political reasons and have been on the brink of war with them ever since the Great Elves discovered them.

This chart will help me keep things all organized and consistent. I hope I didn't forget anything since this was all from in my head 0.o I never write anything down haha. Sorry for grammar errors too lol. Thanks for reading ^^

Hello:
 It is finally here! .

I will soon take a closer look at the chart, but I have seen some interesting things, like how races connect, like how there is some sort of hierarchy in some cases.

A funny thing is, there is also a Creator in my stories, the role would be similar to our current God, but I changed the name to avoid confussions with other gods (because the difference between "G" and "g" is only when written) and deities I will be mentioning .

 Keep it up!

Yay!

I do hope you find it interesting to read

That is funny hehe. With the creator I wanted to make it similar to real-world religions (since I am quite informed on the subject lol) But I have in-depth background thought out to the beliefs of the various races in my world. Some (like the creator) may be more familiar for people, but I have some more bizarre religions planned also I too look forward to what you have ^^

I will try Good luck to you also

Hello:
It has been interesting so far. I am just amazed what you have done in such short notice . Maybe inspiration works that way .

Since you have such different races between each other it would be easier to imagine having very different views and ways to express their religious beliefs. That should add to the fun in your world/setting, hehehe.

But you forgot something important, you forgot that Chuck Norris is above the Creator .

 Thank you very much! .

 Yeah! .

Also, very interesting how humans were made directly from the Creator, a clear nod to the religions in our real world . But most interesting how many other races would descend from humans, that is a much more extreme case to how humanity only changed their skin colors over the millenia.

Exactly I think it makes for a better story that way ^^

Well it wasn't really a gradual evolution. In almost every instance where a new race was formed it was by outside interference like Ae'vuum Spirits mating with humans to form Great Elves. The others such as the Dwarves coming from Humans and Pale Elves coming from Great Elves was more cosmetic, not really a huge change in form My world is only meant to be a few thousand years old so not enough time for much to happen XD But yes real life is much more boring and slow haha Just different skin colors for us, no elves or anthros for us lol

Well, it is indeed sad that our world is much more boring .

I can also see some inspiration from other source, slike Greek Myths and other myths, that sounds good because those are from stories we can all relate to and can make it easier to imagine the background situations in your setting.... at least, that is how I think .

This is cool! All of your races are connected and I find that interesting. I'm impressed by how thought out your races are. ^_^

I'm planning on doing a chart describing and comparing my races as well. They're a handy reference for both your watchers and yourself.

Thanks! I thought it would be cool to have all of the races descent from each other, and it took much thought over the past year ^^

And they can be quite handy! Makes it much easier to build stories with a solid foundation I look forward to seeing what you come up with with yours

Oh, thank you. I'll start working on it. ^_^

I forgot to mention how interesting it is that your anthro races are a result from magical experimentation. That gives quite a bit of context on how your anthro races are mistreated and abused.

It does add some context ^^ It will also be better explained in the comic (once I get around to starting it back up )

I understand, I know how much it is job - and I said in reference to the fact that I am at the beginning of inventing the characteristics of individual characters, the geography of the world, and history - I have already more or less an outline for the world, I have a major and less important characters, and i have a plan of what is to happen
