You might not have made the joke but still commenting about how the artist feels ruined a joke you could have had about their art?

Last time I checked, jokes where not insults, so how about you apologize to her for making her feel bad and mind your own business, she has has a bad day and you did not make it any better. I realize that I came of as a lot more rude and aggressive than, I had planned, but i was simply annoyed because my closest friend received yet another unwanted comment on his art, making it harder for him to enjoy drawing/posting art here than it already is. I know that she was trying to make a joke, and in other instances it could have been funny, but it was not the time or place for that.
The way I talked before was much too rude and I am sorry about that, but I am not sorry for trying to defend my friend.
I do however feel bad for the words I said before, and if given a proper chance i would rephrase how I said it, and make it more polite rather than unkind.
