Description
Another vaguely-meta Playboy-esque cartoon. The idea is they're at the opera, and the guy's like "Yes yes, the performance is quite good, but the story! A woman, marrying simply for money? Preposterous!" and the old guy's just chewing his gums going "quite right, quite right"hahaha anyway, the point is, I couldn't get the wording right and fit the punchline in the end of the sentence. If you have a suggestion please comment, and if there's a really good one I'll put it under the cartoon where it's supposed to go!
I've been trying to get more local color into my illustrations, it's a real struggle for me. Photoshop.

Ah these past pieces you've uploaded remind me of Erich Sokol's stuff. And I love his work, the one panel cartoons with sexy ladies with wonderful lighting. Are these for anything? or are they just for fun?

SOKOL IS MY FAVORITE EVER and there's no use denying he's my main inspiration for sexy ladies. They're not for anything, just for fun!

Yes! I'm glad I noticed the influence. I really want to start working on lighting like you are. Sokol is a great inspiration to have, the shapes he uses for women are my favorite to look at. The swooping curves are just delicious~

Something like "Outrageous* story! No woman would marry a man simply for money!"
* scandalous, anecdotic, silly

I loved the last one and this one is even better. The facial expressions are selling them.

Very good! But I think it needs to tie in to the idea that they're watching a story somehow... I'll keep thinking, and thanks for the suggestion!

I think the art is pretty clear that they are watching something, so not restating that in the punch line is probably makes the whole thing snappier, though.

You could use Zium's first comment but start it with, "This storyline is ridiculous." THEN add Zium's comment. I don't know. I just know this looks beautiful.

and then the lady in the green dress could be the one to say, "Preposterous!"
