This is adorable...
It's interesting... Rarity (or the writers) had made a point of putting Rarity in the adult costume and putting Sweetie in the child costume... Bo Peep/Sheep, Flower/Seed, Frog/Tadpole, Butterfly/Caterpillar, etc.
However, the scrapbook in the same episode shows that in previous pictures, Rarity had been a princess while Sweetie was a knight, so it wasn't always the case.
