Description
I did a quickie photoshoot for a book I'm working on to show an example of how traditional animation uses different layers for each character (then they are combined in the computer). This was my semi-creative solution on how to 'artfully' show that. Not great lighting though. This is from the run cycles I animated for my characters from Opposite Forces, Marty and Alexis. Just a few of the keys. These were colored and included in the graphic novel I just printed, as a flip book in the corner.Related content

If I'm not mistaken, that pencil is a Blackwing-- you can get a pack of twelve on Amazon for about twenty-five bucks.
I certainly hope your life is worth more than twenty-five dollars!

Would be more awesome to know the full extent of animating the way you do it.

sweet lookin keyframes
not a huge fan of the black light discs though, the rulers and edges .got in the way of layouts for me, but it looks so much more professional than my giant white one
also saw your sweet pic with Frank Thomas, god you're so incredibly lucky
