Hi, my name's Chris and I'm the band "The Alchemist," and we have been searching for a good album artwork for our album that will be that will be released later this year. I've had a tough time looking for someone who could really get what I'm trying to look for in the album artwork until I stumbled upon this in google images! To get a little background info we're an experimental metal group from the US and are currently being produced by Jonathan Carpenter (ex-contortionist member), and the album will have guest solos from many different artists. It took me a few hours of experimenting and tweaking but in the end the flame isn´t that complex.

I've never really seen a well done one on an angle like this, which is what has me curious.
Have you used tutorials in the past, or are you self taught?

Well I´ve used a tutorial or two to learn how the apophysis works. All works ( except for :thumb322668731: and :thumb322685757: ) are made from scratch and mainly as a result of experimenting.
I think I´ll do a tutorial for this kind of flames, when I remember how the hell I´ve done that
