Description This is an older drawing, but nice as I think. Some parts of it are excelent other not at all ... but on the hole worth of being a deviation.

Drawing is very good, as I think Maybe gun is less realistic than other, but most important for my eye is her pose...

You say this is your first drawing last year? Does that mean first drawing EVER? or just for 2004? Still, this is an Awesome drawing! Your talent is even better now but this is still pretty impressive IMHO for first drawing of 2004

this was my first drawing on 2004, and my first one after a long time. iΒ΄m now 34 years old and iΒ΄m drawing know on a regular basis (you can call it a serious hobby now) since a little bit more than a year. unfortunately before that i havenΒ΄t been drawing for about 15 years or very very very occasionally (due to family and job-obligations) - in that period of time i maybe made 10 drawings - "leather gloves" ([link] ) is one of those! and before that i just draw at school, where i discovered that i have a sort of talent! so "trinity" ( [link] ) was my first pencil drawing of "the new era", "neo from matrix" ([link] ) was my first color pencil/pastel-drawing ever and "the simple fighter" ([link] ) was my first acrylic-painting ever. the next evolutionary step will propably be oil-paintings, but i still have to learn a whole lot more about acrylic painting first.

greetings

That's cool!! Have you managed to make a career of it yet? I have a similiar slump in my art passion. I went to college at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Computer Animation (and traditional as well) and Multimedia stuff. After I graduated though I didn't put enough effort into making copies and sending them out to enough different places to get a job, to make a long story short. Then I kinda fell back into part-time jobs and other activities that didn't really involve me drawing so for about 5 years I haven't drawn that much at all. Last year I had an art relapse that lasted for awhile and now I'm getting into a art again. I seem to improve another notch everytime I come back so hopefully I can get a career sometime soon. The only thing is I think I spend more time browsing and commenting now and not enough time drawing! I need to pump out at least one high-quality detailed drawing a week, I think

i see, this sounds indeed very similar. and you really got a point there about spending more time commenting than painting and drawing- but i think itΒ΄s necessary to stay in comunication.

Nicely done ! You captured her really well! (her nose seems to be slightly off , I think it should be a bit pointier). You don't need me to tell you how much I this character and thus the brilliant actress Carrie Anne Moss, right? I'm hopelessly obsessed with this lady.

My first drawing on this site was also Trinity (had been deleted due to rahter inferior quality). In fact, I've drawn her (and Carrie Anne) like 5 times already. Now I'm working on the 6th one.

thanks for your comment, ... and i totally understand. canΒ΄t wait to see the 6th version of her. you really seem to love this lady and the matrix movies, and i know you make incredible portraits - so the result must be phenomenal, thatΒ΄s for sure, ... itΒ΄s allready a fav!
