Description
Another illustration for Paul Melniczek's THE UNSEEN about a young man who is protected by a demon/creature only he can see. In this one, I wanted something quaint yet creepy, and I wanted to play with contrast. The demon is not described in the story, but the author has asked me to come up with a some interpretations of what it might look like. I've done about 10, and this would be my "Cthulhu" demon.

I like how strong the contrast is here, both artistically and in terms of visual story telling. The tranquil, introspective nature of the foreground versus the the horror seeping into the background.
