Description
Last minute illo for the upcoming BIH #2. Apparently, one of the artists disappeared before turning in their second illo, so I volunteered to help out.Now that it's done, it reminds me a bit of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS

Yup, just rewatched it last week, and that scene was still just as potent. OUCH.

Another scene that will always stick in my mind will be Johnny Depp's character's death from the first Nightmare movie.

DREAM WARRIORS is a great flick, and possibly my favorite of the series (I think that the first movie might edge it out for me). The story had a similar situation (a man turned into a puppet) so I went with it. I'm certainly not going to complain if it reminds people of NOES!

And it's a great movie. So the fact that it's similar doesn't decrease the amazingness of the art itself. Just increases it in my opinion.

You know, I get asked that a lot. No, I've never done any work for bands. It would be fun to do, though.

Again, thank you! Yes, it certainly did. And if I were to be honest, I HATE stippling. Makes the old mind go numb.

I couldn't help but to sing DREAM WARRIORS by Dokken as I was drawing it.
Alas, Joey had a rough death...

I used to have the tape of that Dokken record--if I could find it, I would have put it on while I was drawing this. LOL

I think my fave is "How sweet fresh meat." I have to say that guy has come a long way from playing what originally amounted to a bit part on "V".

The funny thing is, when NIGHTMARE came out, I remember my mom explaining to me that Freddy couldn't be scary because it was the goofy guy from V. That helped take the edge off.

I couldn't help but laugh at the guy but at the same time he scared the crap out of me. I remember watching the movie and The V series. It ran on SciFi channel for a while and I watched it then. It seemed allot goofier then than it did originally.

I actually bought the V TV movies and show on DVD, and I really enjoyed watching them again. I honestly though that they would be crap, but they held up pretty well. It was a bit goofy, though...LOL

I think allot of the scifi from back then was a bit on the goofy side. Do you remember Space 1999? I think it was a bit earlier yet but it was pretty good for it's day and not quite as goofy as most scifi back then. Then of course there is Doctor Who. I'm still trying to decide about the new series but I was addicted to the original.

I don't remember Space 1999, but I used to watch Doctor Who all the time. I haven't seen the new series yet, although I've heard some good things about it.

Here is a [link] fficial&hs=oMz&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&oi=images&ct=title to some artwork and photos from the series. It was great even if it was a bit on the corny side. I loved the idea behind it. Just imagine people on the moon trying their best to survive on a moon no longer in orbit around the Earth. Of course the science behind it isn't very good but it's still a good story. The new Dr. Who series is great but I miss the low budget almost british soap opera feel of the old series. I was told they may be ending it because of the amount of money being spent on it. I think that is a shame. They should just go back to doing things the way they did in the first place.

I believe it was Dokken and I think Dream Warriors had to be one of my most favorite from the elm street series.
