I liked this casting, and i was going to fave it, but then i saw you calling some kid a little shit for basically being a young inexperienced artist who hasn't learned etiquette yet... no problem with giving him tips, but the rudeness sort of lost me there.
why cant people just be nice?

Yeah I don’t wanna make excuses but I’ve been struggling with even wanting to stay on here putting effort into art, while life has become a lot less easy giving me less time to make these. And that’s one of the first comments I get, it kinda set me off. It was uncalled for and I don’t normally do that, you can see any of my other posts, it was an isolated incident

unfortunately...
It's part of the work. You're gonna get stuff like that, and occasionally you're gonna get people that really do just seem to get off by wanting to rip your work to shreds. When we put things out publicly, it happens... Kids in particular, have grown up in a world where being shamelessly lousy to people online is "expected"
but every time any of us resort to just being petty to someone or stooping to the lowest levels, it tells others that its ok to do the same thing. It cyclical.
Accountability has to start somewhere. Its one thing to criticize or to even argue, but we all benefit from just trying to advocate for common decency, especially within conflict... I'm glad to hear it's not a common thing for you, but you may wanna hide those comments. (these too) at best, It gives off a bad impression that can turn people away. At worst, it excuses others doing the same thing.

Yeah the internet has definitely given me a short fuse. Plus In my actual day to day life I have a pretty low tolerance for shit like that. It was honesty more of a defensive thing cause like I said, me making art is on its last leg. Not only do I not have the time to even do it anymore, but I’m running out of ideas. I have a TON of things I’m working on now but after that this profile will most likely be dead, so these last few posts are kinda important to me emotionally. So obviously I lashed out.
I’ll be honest, I see shitty photoshop work on here all the time, I really don’t point it out, I’d rather be constructive, but when you come to my profile with no manners and flat out tell me, you think what you did is better than what I made, what am I supposed to think? Especially when I see what you made is lazily plopped together while I legit spend hours awake making these for a HOBBY. I only do this cause it keeps me busy when im not “busy” busy. I hate socializing on this site cause it’s filled with cringy children that I can’t relate to anymore. So I mainly post here for myself more than anything. Could care less what other people think at this point when all I get are people like that and people that just tell me how bad my ideas are.
I actually appreciate your comment. Kinda allowed me to vent. I know I really didn’t properly respond to most of your points, I apologize for that lol.

Hey man, It's cool. I get it. I work 3 jobs plus my art stuff and I actually quit pretty much all the traditional social media years ago. I've had people get on here and say all kinds of things. A few months back, someone actually tried to call me a nazi for asking him not to use certain language in my comments section.
The thing is just to keep your head up high enough to not get bogged down in the muck with them. A 15 yr old kid fishing for attention and compliments, may not be something we all have patience to deal with, but just take some deep breaths and let it ride.
You clearly know how it feels to have your work called out in criticism or question, but imagine for a moment what it would feel like if you were that kid... a young artist, who's not got the skill or experience yet, looking for attention and then getting berated by someone who's work they probably wanted to emulate... I mean as rudimentary as their work is... He could have seriously put his all into it. They don't know what they're doing yet, but we all started somewhere. Just try to put yourself in their shoes and realize that as artists, we aren't all so different. We share common experiences through the sharing of our work, and it can be tough all round.
I appreciate you taking the time to answer, and I'm sorry that your'e having a rough time with it all. Taking a break isn't always a bad thing. Venting is normal to an extent. Sometimes we need that...
But overall, if as many of us as possible, can educate others on how to respond with respect and manners, even correct them without driving them away, then maybe the whole thing becomes a little more bearable, and a little less volatile... which helps the community in general.
I know I probably sound like Mister Rogers here, but c'mon... at the end of the day... Mister Rogers was kind of a badass right?

I made the mistake of asking his age AFTER I chewed him out lol. You can see I stopped replying after he said he was 15. And yeah I remember being less than stellar at photoshop, hell, you can go through my movie poster Gallery and go far enough back and see how bad ALOT of my early work was. We all get better over time, but I even look at some of my most recent work and see tons of issues I wanna fix. It’s tough to make something obviously chopped up and pasted together look normal.
But yeah I’ve taken plenty of breaks from making art. Some pretty long ones. I usually run into the same issues of no ideas left, but at the same time I always end up back. I think I just gotta let the ideas come to me when ever they do instead of fishing for them. That’ll probably lead to looooong hiatuses but it’s not like I haven’t done it that way before.

I fall into that myself. When your heart's not in it, it hardly ever comes out the same, because you start rushing things to get it done, and you don't put the fullness of your true efforts in. Taking breaks can have advantages. I'm that way with everything from drawing to writing and in between.
I do still like your casting choices though. I've done some shops of the x-men myself. Even though I do some casting choices for them, I focus mostly on designing the costumes, but I get it. I leave some of my debates with people visible to the public, and I've fallen into disagreement with several (especially over wolverines mask)... but I've also had to hide conversations with others because I didn't feel like they were appropriate for the public view. (comments on the cyclops design)
Sometimes people are supportive. Sometimes they're rude. We react differently from day to day... we're all just human. lol

I like doing the whole 9 yards, casting, costume design, and poster design. I like the layers of creativity it allows me to have. Although I gotta say my “creativity” on the poster design of things isn’t all that creative with me just putting people standing straight infront of the screen lol. I’m trying to change with next few fan casts.
And I saw your work. I really like it. We chose the same person for Storm. And I LOVED your design for Wolverines classic suit, although I will admit I do kinda hate the helmet lol, but the costume makes up for it

poster design would be a lot of fun, I just haven't focused on it much. It's more like one of those things I would do for a job than a hobby. lol

I Like it, but i think we should leave that to Disney-Marvel.
But i hope they could add Ryan Reynolds to reprise as Deadpool to be part of the All New All Different XMCU!

That’s a pretty retarded way to advertise your work. And no I don’t think so as well.

Little tip for ya. Don’t go to someone else’s page to tell them your poorly made art is better then theirs. I spent over a month making this, I don’t need to hear some little shit telling me their work is better than mine and then when I go to their page it’s the horribly put together and sloppy

Yeah. Think they'll kill off Thanos, just to make room for Josh Brolin's Cable?
