Perna Studios is very excited to announce our twelfth trading card set entitled Creatures of Myth and Legend. This set will focus on creatures from myths and legends like Bigfoot, the Mothman, the Jersey Devil, Loch Ness Monster, the Chupacabra and many more with a few creatures from mythology added into the mix like Hippocampus, Kelpie, Manticore etc.... (This set was released in early June 2019).
I drew this sketch art card of a Chupacabra for the Creatures of Myth and Legend trading card set.
Chupacabra (Chupacabras) - Literally "goat-sucker" is a legendary creature in the folklore of parts of the Americas, with its first purported sightings reported in Puerto Rico. The name comes from the animal's reported habit of attacking and drinking the blood of livestock, especially goats.
Physical descriptions of the creature vary. It is purportedly a heavy creature, the size of a small bear, with a row of spines reaching from the neck to the base of the tail. (PUERTO RICO, MEXICO)
