Description
The model in this pic looks like she is reaching for the sky. I often direct models to look up or down. In both cases I am trying to project openess and humility. This model was very free on our shoot day, the only day we have ever shot. I love when people are honest and free and found this experience very uplifting.Related content

I'm trying to guess her nationality. Is she Thai?
Painters would find this photo enthralling because there is such a blending of light-to-dark on her body. The sort of shading on a specific geometric figure that painters strive to achieve.
So much of her face is either hidden by her arm or is in shadow or is averted . . . and yet I still FEEL so much warmth and delicateness from her facial expression. You sure know how to direct a model, Tony.
She is simply gorgeous.

Very good observation. I believe that we can sense emotions in people even when they are back on to us. This particular model was in a great mood this day. I think her mood is adding so much to the way this shot is received. Not sure what nationality she was.

Tony, you are a genius and a visionary. I remember your beautiful calendar well. I don't remember this - lovely - woman. I'm guessing this wasn't in "Pumped Up." She is alluring, this pose and this shot is magic. Your work is immortal.

Thanks very much. Pretty sure I had stopped shooting the calendars when I did this shoot.
Best Wishes Tony.

Now this is perfection and that speaks volumes. The lighting, shows the sensual curves of her body. Her perfect orbs of feminine flesh are like ripe Georgia peach halves, succulent, tasty and bursting with sweet, sticky, nectar. The cold brick background contrast nicely to her warm, sensuous body. Very nicely done. Kudos.

I hope you realize that - because of you and this woman - I'm going to be eating Georgian peaches for a very long time now!

She's become an elusive faerie that we can only get a glimpse of, and them dream about for the rest of our mortal lives . . . "sigh."

How did you acheive such a wonderful lighting effect?
She glistens asif sweating slightly, and the light brings out her natureal lines and tones superbly.
She's a gorgeous model and you've brought that out well. Very tastefully done.

The light I used was a 2000watt tungsten head coming from about 30% diagonally opposite my camera position. Really is a very passionate lighting set up. Used very similar with the opther pic you commented on,Contrast 2.

I love the way the light seems to come from both sides and reflects off the wall like that.
2000 watts though? That's a powerful bulb! I guess that probably explains why she's sweating a bit too, as it's always said how hot studio lights get.

Im always honest so here it goes. My opinion not one of some professional but eh. lol.
As for the girl herself, The lighting, skin tones, and the Oil? Actually look very stunning you've really shown her highlights. But the back of the picture kind of ruins it for me.. The glare, or reflection is far too powerful for the image and the color is all wrong for this girl in particular. Maybe a gray non reflective material would have done much better.
Anyhow good work on the most part.

Hot lights hitting her front, and gentle, cool light from the back.
Very good.

This is a nice photo, really. Much better than some of the others that I've seen on the front page.
But anyway, the comment isn't about the fact that you got a Daily Dev. I couldn't care less about that. I like the picture, as I've said, though the lighting is a bit off. At least, it seems that way to me. The light is hitting her from the back/bottom, yet she's reaching up to the sky. It seems a little...strange, like she should be going for the light instead of trying to get away from it, which is what it seems like in the picture. Unless of course it's some sort of cleansing by light, though...
I don't know. I'm not a photographer, so I might be getting this all wrong, but it seems that there's something about the lighting that throws the picture off for me though. The model is lovely, however, and the shot is still beautiful.

A woman's body is a sacred Temple; her symmetry speaks to the glory of the Devine Architect, and when she stands like this she is like a Cathedral in flesh...
