The thing about killing The Joker is: If Batman does toss out his no killing rule for Joker, then what's to stop him from doing iit to Poison Ivy, or The Penguin, or Mad Hatter, or Bane, Or Killer Croc, or Clayface, or Mr. Freeze, or Harley Quin, or Baby Doll,  or Man-Bat, or Condiment King, or The Riddler, or Scarecrow or Azrael, or Two-Face who was his friend Harvey Dent, or Catwoman, whom he's had relations with, or Jason Todd himself, his former sidekick, or every punk criminal with a gun? killing is too easy for him and he knows it. So he is forced to contain his rage and anger, because as a cop he'd likely be gunning down every criminal he came across, get kicked off the force and then he'd just be Batman again except he just keeps killing. He'd be no better than the criminals he puts in Arkham.

Before Frank Miller went crazy and tried to write Batman as a Watchman character, in the original Dark Knight Returns he didn't kill, not even the Joker in their final confrontation. Joker pulled out all the stops to get him to do it but he refused, and because he refused Joker broke his own neck to spite Batman. Then Frank Miller went insane and ruined that universe but that's another story. We've seen versions of Batman who've snapped, Vampire Batman, The Batman who laughs, Batman of Zur-En-Arrh Justice Lord Batman, later version of Frank Miller's Batman, aka "Crazy Steve", and Batman snapping always ends BADLY! Because it unleashes all of his pent up anger, rage and frustration. He becomes a monster in one way or another, and the world always suffers because of it. He knows this, and to see Jason Todd go down the path he could have so easily taken burdens his already troubled soul as Raiden pointed out in Injustice 2.

And this is the same Raiden who openly said to The Joker "Even the Elder Gods can not rehabilitate you." Showing just how far gone into insanity and darkness the Joker has gone. Unlike some Arkham inmates, Joker is beyond saving. although Joker's greatest fear is being forgotten, fading away into obscurity. Even with his constantly shifting personality that has remained constant about him. Batman doesn't really care about being remembered. He cares more about saving Gotham and being a symbol helps him with that. He's more than willing to let Batman fade back into the night when the time comes. Ironic really, Joker wants to be remembered and Bruce doesn't care if he is, but Joker in the end will only be a footnote in Batman's legend while Batman himself will live on in memory for as long as there are people to tell his tale. Although Ther Joker may find humor in that irony.

One thing I just can't get around is the fact that if Bruce HAD "fuck this; fuck you" and killed Joker, the psycho wouldn't have gone on to kill more and more (since the courts apparently decided that being insane should exclude someone from the death penalty no matter how many times they break out of the asylum). In a way, his decision NOT to kill means that the blood of Joker's victims is indirectly on Bruce's hands, too.

Maybe it's just my own frustrations. Until a couple years ago, my state's courts were practically a revolving door for the mentally ill. Before laws for court-ordered treatment were set in place, criminals deemed not fit for trial would be out walking the streets again a short time later. In a way, Arkham Asylum is the same. Sure, the baddies might stay in there for a while, but they always break out and wreak more havoc.

I understand why you would be frustrated, but as I said; after Joker where does Bruce draw the line? Bruce is too filled with rage and anger to not keep moving the goalpost until he's killing someone for Jaywalking. Although I support the Robot Chicken solution of Batman testifying that the Joker is too dangerous to live and they give him the chair. Because Bruce didn't technically kill Joker, the court sentenced him to death. He just gave the court an honest opinion. besides when a literal god says that even the gods of the gods can't help you, you got to go!

At the very least, Bruce could have gone to someone else with the emotional restraint needed and delegated the job (and decision) to them. It's clear that the courts don't care to cause waves by relenting and saying, "Yeah, this guy's a lost cause." I mean, they've had how many opportunities to change direction and stop throwing him in an asylum that he keeps escaping from?

Goham's  courts seriously need an overhaul, as does Arkham Asylum. Now I'm wishing thew MK fighters had Fatalities in the Injustice games. I'd love to fry Joker as Raiden. As the thunder God said, he's beyond rehabilitation. Joker needs to die or be locked in a hole in the ground with no way out.

Batman has said if you kill a killer the amount of killers  in the world stays the same but kill like 100 killers and it goes down by like 99 killers

Adding to that here is more of a.. definition you could say

Albert Einstein once said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”.
What the fuck is Batman doing?
What's Jason doing.

Batman is putting Joker in Arkham and expecting him to stop over and over and over.
Now let's compare to Jason

He kills a criminal and they stay dead. And it's not just petty muggers or thieves. It's Rapists. Murderers. Pedophiles.

Now what if Batman put one of these assholes into Blackgate and one of them escaped? And they kept doing what they were doing? And were never caught because they were one of the 'smaller' crimes. Because Batman didn't find them. Couldn't catch them. He can't catch everyone. Do you think he finds every single fucking person that escapes during Blackgate breakouts? Arkham breakouts sure he can usually catch them because they're bigger criminals. They get out on the news. He can track them down. But what about the rapists who don't do it in a alley? The victims who don't speak up? It's not their fault.

Jason's method is permanent.
Bruce's method is temporary.

And yes I know some people can have a change of heart, but what about the people who don't? Who keep killing, raping, abusing? They stay loose. And yes I realize there isn't a way for Jason to find everyone either. But judging by his backstory and origin I would believe that he would... care slightly more about the underdogs. Because he WAS an underdog and he WAS a little guy and he WAS an orphan. Bruce I believe cares slightly more about I guess crimes done in a more specific way? It's somewhat confusing but in the comics he is genuinely seen taking down more murderers than rapists or child abusers or such. I know he does, obviously but he is generally taking down more people who murder and not rape or etc.
I understand Murder is considered a bigger crime but are rape, abuse, pedophillia, etc. not big crimes too?

You see everyone keeps making excuses for Batman to not kill. But if he did, he would succeed so much more. Jason sees that. He saw it when he died. He realized that Batman. Can't. Save. Everyone.

And yes I realize there is no way to prove that quote is true and it's very over used.
.
.
.
But isn't it somewhat true?

I hope you think about this, you can agree. You can beg to differ. It doesn't matter. This is the internet. Nothing really matters here now does it?

Jason shouldn't blame Batman, he should blame the people of Gotham. Time and time again, they put the Joker on trial and put him in Arkham instead of giving him the Death Penalty.

I think it's more of his past if Batman killed criminals he would become unlikeable and thus it would be hard to like him. He would be as bad as Crazy Steve aka Allstar and robin Batman. He is a violent murderer forces Robin to eat rats, poisons Green lantern, Cares about more about himself than everyone else and he pretty much treats Robin like trash after his parents where murdered. But who am i joking that is the Batman you want to see.

It's awesome that he's going to be in Arkham knight though but really with the status quo in super hero comics is getting old to me and all I can think about is when will these heroes say enough is enough? Because of batman superman lost lois and his child and all of matropalist! And what does batman do? Interrogate him...people can say whatever they want about superman but at least he had the balls to put joker down for good but the whole"superman kills and he becomes a dictator"crap is just that! Crap! Why can't he be an anti hero and keep his personality? Batman is a coward! Lex Luther said it best in Justice league that superman doesn't kill because of his ego but really that speech should be said about bruce,if he started killing there would be no need for him and that scares him,he lets his friends and family go unavenged to keep his "hero status" Jason,Barbra,Jim,Damien,Grayson, tim, etc etc Batman's ego gets these people hurt and killed cause it's too "easy" yeah, saving many lives isn't the right thing to do! Help the psychopaths and watch as they get worse! Batman:As Egotistical as he is stupid

No it's his past in that if he kills people he will be as bad as the murderer who killed his parents. If he killed the criminals it would lead to more crime and thus Batman would become the very things he hates.

exactly, and even worse if He doesn't want to kill then He still has the option of doing something else like

1. Ask Superman to send Him to a Hostile Alien Planet with No Technology
2. use Boom Tube to send Him to Apokolips
3. cripple Him
4. have Him locked away in a Special Cell in The Batcave AND Cripple Him
5. send Him to The Phantom Zone
6. ask Someone to de-age Him

This is just stupid! Any sane person would have put a bullet in his head a long time ago but no! Fans love him so he stays! Ugh! I've heard all the excuses and really that don't make sense! The Joker has ruined The Entire Batman Series into NOTHING but a Emo Grimdark Fest about Batman and Him engaging in a Fight between Two Gay Boyfriends

I would say it was Frank Miller that made Batman what it is today not The joker that is why the series is dark. Well it's better than Naruto an anime about an obnoxious ninja who claims he will be the greatest ninja ever and has a show that has an annoying fanbase.
