At the end of the Great Mouse Detective movie, the new client of Basil and Dawson shows up. I absolutely ADORED her design at the time (and still do) and I always took her for the mousefied version of Mary Morstan (at least until I created Edith

Oh, definitely! When I first saw GMD a couple of years back, I was completely blown away. I wondered "how on EARTH was this not more popular?! That was fantastic!" A few more sequels wouldn't have hurt. I would have loved to have seen them, but alas, it was not meant to be.
It would have been interesting if they made another one in the 90s, kind of like they did with The Rescuers...and seeing how it transitioned from the sketchy look to the CAPS style.

This is absolutely beautiful! The colors are so vibrant as well as her expression. I loved her design too, also loved the chosen dress color since green is one of my favorites. I felt bummed when we never got to enjoy her case like we did with Olivia. I had hoped to see it in at least comic book form, but that never happened.
You're right. Very few have drawn her before. Around the time I first met ALS123 in 2010, she did a whole story and art combo with this character. It was called Case of the Emerald Ring. I also had the opportunity to meet her voice actress, Shani Wallis, at an autograph show in Los Angeles. I brought with me my DVD slip cover, insert, and a colored photo of Lady Mouse.

I always loved her image)) She looks very much similar to the image of Watson's wife in the Russian version of "Sherlock Holmes", the classic one))
Also I think Basil is named like that coz of Vasilij Livanov, he had the role of Holmes, you know) As his Holmes is the most popular and loved one I can guess Mrs Titus just turned his name Vasilij into its English version Basil, lmao))

Actually Basil is named Basil after Basil Rathbone who portrayed Sherlock in the early 1940's.

True she's not in many fanarts... for me, i used to see her like Olivia's older self. They looked pretty similar because of the haircut and fur color. Probably, the day I noticed that was the first time i thought about Basil and older Olivia.Β
