Description

One million years before man journeyed into space, the Ita of Ominar were a well-established space fairing race. They were tall with black skin and white hair. Their eye had no iris or pupil, just white. They were feared. For years, battles were waged against these giants. Soon it was decided that they would keep to their own system. Only contact with outsiders was limited to the outer planet of the Ominar System. Trade was only allowed here.

Over time, the Ita slowly changed. Their skin turned white. Ominar do not wear makeup. The faint traces, of their black skinned time, are found around their eyes, lips, and faintly on their cheeks. Their eyes developed white irises and pupils. There rose legends of the ancient Ita, but in time they turned to just stories told to kids.

Occasionally slavers will attack the inner planets. They prize Ominar for their white skin, and try to hunt the Ita.

Ominar tradition has females and males staying uncovered to show they are available to mate. Anyone already chosen must wear clothing that covers their abdominal region. All Ominar wear little, and highly reflective clothes.

The females among the Ominar rule. Males fight and choose mates for their children. Ominar don’t believe in love. Mating is for the continuation of the race.

Divorce is allowed. The mates who divorce must cut their hair, to show they are no longer mates.

Ominar names consist of only vowels usually just two, but have been as long as five. Ita names have two vowels and one consonant in the middle.

Only recently has it be found that there are still a small village of Ita, those whose appearance hadn’t changed to white.

She is quite the good looking female of her species! I especially like how you're able to make the skin as white as it is, but still keeping some texture and depth!

I love Skin Builder Pro for G2F. They need one for G3. I might use them more. I use it for all the skins of my alien characters.

I think I picked that up at some point, but most of my girls use terran skin so it's not as useful for me in that arena. I hope you get one soon for G3! I love all my G3 models!

I've used it before for human skin. It doesn't look bad, but I prefer using skin mats from another model.

Thanks. I found an old Poser freebie I got, and decided it looked right for the Ominar. The sand is FlipMode's Easy Environment Eternal Sand. The freebie is Dune house 2 from 3DPeanuts on ShareCG.

Can you share some technical information about this image?Β  Model? (G3F? G2F?) Render engine?Β  Lighting setup?

It's a striking image and it would be fun to know some of how you did it.

All my OC's are Genesis 2. The render engine is 3Delight. Lights are the ones I posted on . My outdoor lights for 3Delight.

Thanks!Β  So much of the discussion here has been about Iray, it's nice to see 3Delight renders getting some attention.

My PC doesn't like to use Iray. So I use 3Delight. The image is a good example on what the lighting would end up looking like. The ambient lights are set to 15 percent in this image.
