I fucking hate MLP. But I love Dirk. And Dirk's love of Rainbow Dash is just sooooooooo ironic.

No, I don't like MLP, but that's mainly because my kismesis is a huge fan. And because I think there's too much hype around it for a show for five year old girls. But whatever

I actually 100% understand what you're talking about. I'm sort of the same with Hetalia.. I used to be head-over-heels IN LOVE with that show, but.. the fandom is getting wAYY out of control and it's sort of too-much for me to handle, you know? :I
I like MLP because I just think it's cute, and I love the theme/story line behind it- IDK if it's really FOR 5 year olds or not- a lot of the humor is more based towards pre-teens/teenagers?? but IDK :I I think people in general need to calm the frig down and learn that some people just aren't interested, you know? xD

I've heard so much about Hetalia, and it seems interesting enough, but I've never seen or read it ^^ But yes, the fandom can make or break anything, y'know? Twilight was always fucking terrible, but the fandom turned it downright toxic. Same with a lot of things. ^^ With Homestuck, I like it enough to be ignorant about the diehard fans, I mean, not that I'm NOT one, but I'll never be any kind of weeaboo. Look, I'm rambling. But the Homestuck fandom is pretty good.

I've read some of Hetalia, but I have all four seasons on DVD and the movie xD So, I'm still a fan and all, but I'm kind of drifting away from it... :I I was actually a HUGE fucking fan of Twilight when I was in 7th grade (and 8th xD) I was OBSESSED and when I look back, I get all embarrassed about it xD Not that I think it's genuinly horrible or anything *because it is nicely written, and has a SOMEWHAT solid plotline...* I feel that, yeah, the fandom was indeed quite toxic.
I'm a hUGE fan of Homestuck, as you probably know due to my excessive fan art xD The fandom is a lot better and more under control than the Hetlia fandom, let me just tell you that xD

I never read Twilight but I saw the movies, and decided to vehemently dislike it. But I'm going to read the books and see. It seemed incredibly flat to me, and Bella Swan is a complete and utter moron. But meh.
And about the fandoms, the Homestuck one is very good! The shippers get a bit annoying when they decide that they will go down with their ships, but other than that...

Homestuck is actually my favourite fandom ever. ^^ And I've been in quite a few! But HS takes the cake, few novels I've read are as brilliantly put-together. I caught up rather quick, started reading in, oh, March? Ish? But I love it to death. I'd draw more fanart if I could draw. :I
