well hooves are somewhat flared from the ankle... granted, I'm certain boots would be something the navy would forego as attire for ponies and instead have them wear rubber shoes (horse shoes) most people have the misconception that hooves have sensation, they don't, they are like finger nails, just protein and water. its actually a very nearly perfect heat insulator. I think the only problem she would face is trying to blouse her Trousers.
